Firstly my modem got burntout by storm this week so tried install the 2740B unit but could logon to admin page, the modem would start up okay and then shut down the LAN conection every 10-20 seconds. In the box the hardware looks okay so I'm wondering it could be a software issue??

Can be a problem with ethernet autonegociation.
When the modem was toasted, the ethernet card on the PC was connected to it? -

No, this modem was given to me to replace the burnt one and should have worked, I had to buy a new one to get connected again. The ethernet connects okay but switches on and off?Comment

That can be a sign of failed autonegociation between NIC and switch.
Try using another port/switch/NIC and combine them for troubleshooting.
Some NIC/switch combination will not autonegociate for unknown reasons.Comment

ipman means your Ethernet card on your PC may have been damaged when the old modem was hit by the storm - it wouldn't surprise me if it was.
Try a different network card in your PC.Comment

negative its the modem its self because I'm using the ether card on this PC, the card seems to work fine right now.The modem did the same thing when I hooked it up the lap top.Comment

no the D-link 2740B 12V-1.5 did not have its orriginal power adapter and maybe this could be problem although I did check the required voltage on the spare adapter with tester, I will recheck this again to be sure, thanks for bringing this to light.Comment

Even if the old power supply is still good, it might not be able to supply enough current for the new modem.Comment

Hello,
I had factory installed Ericcson modem. It was working, but later was changed into Dell 4G modem. It was working good.
Now, after BIOS repair (to the same which was rapaired in past in this machine) it shows 1802 error.
Does somebody have whitelist or know how to correct it or proper no-1802 tool or solution for this board?

ut300r2u modem,link light stays on forever no matter if if dsl phone wire connected or not.i dint mess with any firmware ,it started to be like this for past few months until it stopped all together to work anymore,so learned that flashing might help, need dump file for this modem, i have only ch34a1 programmer.so i erased and flashed with few bin or ras files i got from internet but nothing worked.so further reading let me know that have to flash a whole full dump .if any idea, pls share, thank you. -

I have an issue with a 7710 motherboard, nor Wifi card/slot (8260AC and 3160AC) and LTE modem/slot (EM7455) are detected in bios/OS, the strange thing is that the wifi card is a wifi/bt combo and the BT is recognized in bios and working.
Since BT is working I think the power for these card is present, I already tried a few bios for the motherboard (asked on another thread) but only one is working, I got the board with a bricked bios and it's not a thunderbolt version.

Good day everyone. I have this broken wifi modem. Inside it has a broken component (it looks like a voltage regulator) with the abbreviation that cannot be read completely as it is split. I am attaching the photo of the component with the three legible characters j * 2f. Do you know what it is?
