Hey guys. I got a dead LG 27GL650F-B monitor (no power). So i readed this thread and checked the IC401 voltages. On the pin3 missing 1,2V and pin6 missing 1,8V. In my country only availabe the MP2122AGJ component. Succesfully changed the IC401 and the monitor started working. WOW! Thank you guys for the information. Great community.Leave a comment:

My CPU, the big processor on the Board is getting very very hot until seconds.
I cant find where to buy the PCB.
I have an LG 27GL63T-B
but my board is from LG 27GL650.
My case only has ONE hdmi port.
where can i buy an PCB compatible with mine?
I can also buy an PCB with 2 HDMIs instead of 1.
I think if its working i can modify the case if needed.
The seller from non business has already opened the TFT i think.
The TFT is from 2019. On the Board is written 2022 and some screws are missing and so on.Leave a comment:

Great news, found some MP9148 (the original IC401) lying around and tried to replace it: MONITOR WORKING!
I take some measurement for the IC401, 402 and 400 if someone need them, from pin1 to pin8:
400: 300mV 19V 3,3V 0V 8V 2,4V 5V 790mV
401: 609mV 3,3V 1,1V 3,3V 0V 1,8V 5V 609mV
402: 286mV 19V 12,8V 0V 15V 3,3V 4,8V 800mV

Removed IC401, all shorts on caps disappeared!
Ordered new components for IC401 and 402 (not shure if is working or not).
For the C508 shorted near the audio jack: if you plug a jack, the short will go away. i think is intended to work this way.Leave a comment:

Hi all!
Im here for the same problem, 27gl650 dead...
I think my problem is IC401, it gets extremely hot in less than a second.
Reading here, the MP2122GJ can be better than the original and perfect for a replacement.
However, I would also like to order some spare ICs for IC402 and IC400 but i can't find what they are.
I have IAGCN for the 402 and IAQTP for the 400.
Can someone help me identifying those?
Thanks!
PS. I have a lot of cap shorted to gnd around the 401, like C438 C439 C444 C403 C401... i will desolder the ic and test again later in the dayLast edited by Pickanick64; 11-25-2024, 06:15 AM.Leave a comment:

I finally had some time to have a look at replacing the CPU. And it worked.
So for me, the fix was replacing IC401 with MP2122AGJ + CPU.
So i can finally vouch for the aliexpress link i posted. The CPU is good.

Just replaced the CPU on my friend's board about a week ago - we both decided to take the plunge and try it out. He took his part of the gamble by buying the CPU itself, since it wasn't exactly cheap and I took my part by taking a shot at replacing it. I HAVE replaced this sort of IC before and was confident to try it again, especially after I pulled off the dead one and all the pads remained intact. It was NOT easy, but it worked out in the end. I also replaced the buck regulator IC with the 2A version to hopefully make it more robust...we'll just have to see how long it lasts...Leave a comment:

changed the board. bought for $20 with delivery. another board LM20Y EAX69488801 (1.4)
It fits like a original. The board's operating time is 1300 hours. But I've already updated the monitor to an Acer Nitro XV272UVbmiiprzx
.unfortunately lg was not close to him in terms of picture quality.I also removed the matte film from the screen1 PhotoLeave a comment:

I have a link up in post 85 for the ali platform. They go for around $20-35. Voveo also posted a taobao link.
I'm curious as to what soldering technique voveo used.
Unfortunately i can not find a replacement board for the life of me, so this is a last resort. If this doesn't work i'm binning the monitor.Leave a comment:

by max-powerHi, I disassemble my laptop to replace the speakers, to access them, you have to remove everything including the heat sink and fan, unscrew the motherboard, lift it up a bit to access the speaker wire.
that was not the first time I dissasemble it, i did replace the same speaker a few year ago and I repaste it last year, so I had nothing to worry about. but when I put everything back together, its completely dead.
After a bit of investigating, i found one pin of the status led ribbon cable that was unglued from the cable and bend touching another pin, I bend it back at his place... -
by wangbreezeHello Gurus,
I got a ThinkPad T480s. It was running fine but suddenly started random shut down. When it turned off, I had to push the reset pin to bring it back to life. But it got aggressively worse and became completely dead. No charging light, no life.
I did some initial diagnostics with just the board (no battery, nothing attached, and no CMOS battery as well)
Initial testing of the coil resistance seems to indicate no dead short. The only low resistance I measured was at PL701. It reads 38 ohms.
charger gave - 20V - ok

by pavskiTrying to troubleshoot MSI z490 tomahawk board and would appreciate your help. The board is completely dead and shows no activity when the power button is pressed.
I have tried to look at the Superio, the PSIN signal seems to be correct (goes from 3.3V to 0 on button press) but the voltage on PSOUT pin is quite low. I
t is only 0.8V which seems to be incorrect but goes to 0 when the button is pressed.
Can you please let me know if this is indeed incorrect and what else should I look at next?
Thanks! -
by AndreasbestHello.
I received a T14s Gen1 ( NM-C891 motherboard ) that is completely dead, no indication of life at all.
I tried hard reset without RTC battery and short both pins of it for 1 minute but no luck.
Since it's type C connector i have no idea what to measure or where to inject voltage, so any advice are welcomed
Thank you in advance!

by arminiHi everyone!
Three years ago I got a ZD-915 desoldering station which failed just after a few months of light use. During a short desoldering session, the station simply shut down, and since then it has been completely dead and unresponsive. The failure was silent, without any pops.
Due to a lack of time, I set it aside and didn't look at it.
Yesterday, I took it apart and did some basic measurements. The 18v terminal shows 0v. In addition, there is no visible damage to the board itself.
According to replies in 18VDC PSU has dropped to... - Loading...
