Re: Mag 2200W
Originally posted by PlainBillThe operating system has set the DVI output to a resolution not supported by the monitor. This can occur when the OS and video card can treat the two outputs as individual outputs for a dual monitor setup. One option is to shut down the computer, switch the monitor to DVI input (temprorarily disconnecting the VGA cable is not a bad idea) and restarting in VGA mode (from the boot menu accessed by hitting F8 in WinXP). Then try increasing the resolution to whatever you prefer. It's a PITA, but Windows wasn't designed to be user friendly.

I tried something similar with a Toshibs DVD player which has an HDMI output, a HDMI to DVI adapter, and a Proview monitor that has a DVI input with HDCP. I got a similar message when I set the output resolution of the DVD player to 1080I, but it worked fine at 720P. Without knowing anything about your sat receiver, I can't hazard a guess.
