    Acer al1916w

picked up an acer monitor last night. found 2 dead caps in it, which i don't have on hand, but after doing some research, i found that they are bad for blowing mosfets and a fuse as well.

so right now, i just have a question about mosfets really. i'm picking everything up locally if i can. which is where my question comes in

i want to know if this part should be compatible with the old part

the old part is a 40T03GP as per this thread, i verified this morning when i was sitll at home looking at the board

is it safe to buy an ebay kit then or something? is there a recommended seller for them is what i;d like to know?

i know i've seen repair kits for these, whats a good place to order a full kit from, i don't want to have to make and pay shipping on 6 different orders, it would be nice to get everything in one shot?

i have another one of these acer's as well, but the other one has a DAC-19M008 that i was searching for info on repairing here too. be nice if i could find out whats wrong with that

i've also got an HP L1955 that would be nice to know where to buy a good kit for. and an HP 2035 that would be nice to fix

Just to let you know, I had bought more of these than I needed when fixed my first LCD (Westinghouse). I can send these to you. What would be the safest way to do it would be for me to post this on ebay - then give you the ebay item # and have you purchase and pay through paypal. I wouldnt ask for much at all as I didnt pay much for it myself. Let me know if this is ok and also how many would you need? If the board is the same (delta) board that was on the Westinghouse, then you would need 2. Also, I think there was a surface mount fuse on the solder side of the board that needed replaced. I dont have the fuse though.

Change the caps and then see if anything else is needed. For the one I repaired the caps did the trick, and it is still running fine a month later.
