Asus VH235T-P 2 seconds to black

    Hi all,

A year or so ago, I got an Asus VH235T-P monitor from my nephew that had no video. After I replaced a couple of capacitors, it seemed fine, but not long after I put it back together, it started to have 2 seconds to black problem. I took the monitor apart and poked around for a while, but gave up.

Today I decided to revisit the monitor and after I powered it up, it's not showing the 2 seconds to black problem (yet). It's been running for an hour now and it's still ok. Why?

Any explanation why it would be working fine (so far) after this long hiatus?

Did you do a full capacitor change out and replaced with hi-quality caps? or the re is aloose connection or cold solder joint. Look especially at the LED Driver and LED backlight wiring.

I only changed out the bulged capacitors. And this monitor has a CCFL backlight, not LEDs.

EDIT: After turning it off and back on again, now it's displaying the 2 seconds to black problem.

LG 23MP55HQ LED Monitor turns off after a few seconds or flickers.
        by Rick_1234
        Good evening, gentlemen.

I have a problem with my monitor. It turns off after a few seconds or flickers. Shining a flashlight on the screen doesn't show any image, so I guess it's not the "2 seconds to dark" I read in the forum.

To turn it back on, I have to press the power button twice. Then after a few seconds it turns off again or flickers. See video.

4 weeks ago i launched Metro Exodus Enhanced and during cinematic advertisement part ( 30 fps ), pc just shutdown.
Also monitor flickered with NO SIGNAL 10 seconds after shutdown. So only monitor and pc was affected.

Next i pressed only power button, rebooted again and its fine again. Happened once and i cant reproduce.

there is something that I can check to find the problem?

        ASUS PG27U MONITOR
        by myth77
First, i dont work on monitors only on laptops and that also for a hobby. So, i received this monitor in the title and it was completely dead, and power supply when used was going off to a power protection. I found that one of the voltage regulators for backlight GS9238 is dead, so i replaced it and monitor is working fine now. But...on the main motherboard first thing i tested was a main power rail and after power jack there is one mosfet Nikos PD537BA. The thing is when i tested all pins of that mosfet are shorted in between. Now when i plug the adapter the monitor just goes on. I dont think...
