    2 monitors same symptoms

    I have 2 19" wide screen mags.
Both show red on everything that should be white.
And also have 2 seconds to black.
I have not seen this yet.
I will post pictures as soon as I can.

Sounds like bad CCFLs,remove the panel connection to confirm , you should get 2 sec white screen but you will probaly get the red hue because of bad CCFLs

I have 3 proview with the same problem. CCFL lamps need replacing. Any one know where I can get some at a good price, the best I can find is £7.50 + Vat, 4 required Total £35 + Del.

I'm not sure what the exchange rate is, but one eBay seller (LCD_Parts_Direct) is selling CCFLs (any diameter and length) for $7.98. The IMPLY that they will ship multiple CCFLs for the $7.99 shipping fee. You would have to decide if they actually can supply the parts at a reasonable cost.

I've seen Pink hue, not red. But the decoloration (soft red->pink... same stuff...) and the 2 seconds to death point to CCFLs ...

dont feel bad- the only widescreen in my house is the one on my eee pc! all monitors crt (exept a tiny 4:3 tv used vie s-video out on vid card). all other tvs are crt too. my family had no reason to upgrade, so why do it? i dont wanna flush money down the toilet.
