Hi, I just came across a Dell 2005FPW monitor that won't stay on. I click the power button and the entire screen will flash light grey for a second then go back to black. Power button stays a constant green and doesn't flash.
Found a few other threads about this same monitor but they had flickering colors and their power button would flash. May or may not be the same problem... :p May end up replacing the two 470 capacitors on the logic board and see how that goes but in case that doesn't work, anyone else have any suggestions as to what else I should try?

But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though.
