    dv172 delayed boot

my diamond view 172 monitor will not display anything for some 20 min or more after I turn the computer on (have tried two dt xp computers and a laptop). All it shows is a blinking light, yellow at first, green later at about 5 sec intervals. I have tried different power and video cables - no change.
Eventually it comes up with a normal boot and once it is running, goes on forvever without problems; rebooting is OK. I also noticed that the display does not show the NO VIDEO sign at first but if it is running and I pull the video cable, it does.
I suspect that the culprit is somewhere in the internal power supply - this model plugs directly into mains.
    Would appreciate any hints.

Vizio D32f-E1 Powers on, has backlight, won't boot/no logo, no menu or video
      by JaquesPratt
I have a Vizio D32f-E1 LCD TV that does NOT have a TCON board.

This TV recently went through some 'death throes' and now won't boot. The first problem that began to manifest was while watching tv, the screen would 'freeze', and the image would dim over a few seconds until it was very dark. HOWEVER, the audio of the show would continue as normal. I could power off the TV for 5-20 seconds, power back on, and the video would be normal. This would occur 1-3 times when the TV was first started, and would not happen again after the TV was 'warmed up'. Not ideal, but this glitch was manageable....

Nintendo Switch Oled HEG-001: Second-Stage Boot Failure
      by privato89
      Hello everyone,

I'm facing an issue with a HEG-001 motherboard that is unable to complete the Second-Stage Boot. I'd like to start directly with my conclusion, which is the decision to replace the MAX77621AEWI chip, and understand if it could be a correct evaluation.

Before I dive into the process that led me to this decision, I want to mention that I have a fully equipped lab where I can perform any kind of tests.

      Let's begin:

Following some guides online, I tried to understand how the Boot phase of the Nintendo Switch works, and what are the...

Xiaomi router freezes at boot after re-capping
      by hinisa
I'm using Xiaomi Router 4A gigabit edition as wireless repeater. It worked fine for 2 years or so, but last week, wireless started to disappear.

When I unplug/replug the power, it was working fine for a day/half a day or so until it freezes again.

After testing with different power supply adapters and concluding it wasn't the issue I finally opened the case and this was the situation:

Anyway I proceed to clean up the mess and replace all caps but unfortunately it made the situation worse. Now router can't even boot, either it freezes during...
