    1) What brand and series of caps did you use for replacements?

    2) When some people mean "all", they mean only the bloated ones. Did you change them all including the smallest caps and biggest one?

    3) This thread is better suited in the "Troubleshooting Computer Displays" forum.

i replaced every cap on the board even the big one
i got the caps from jameco
the 1000uf 35v ones were bad on the board so i replaced them first
the new ones are made by jackcon
      1000uf 35v

The Jackon caps you got are likely not low ESR - that explains why the monitor works when it warms up. When a capacitor is heated, its ESR becomes lower. If the caps are marginal, their ESR may drop just enough for the PSU to start working.

You need to replace those Jackon caps with proper low ESR ones.

To do that, you need to do is check the brand and series (series is usually 2 or 3 letter code) of the original caps, find a data sheet for them (or ask here) and then pick a replacement based on that. More specifically, you need to check the ESR/impedance and ripple current rating in the data sheet of the original caps and then pick your replacements so that they have either the same or lower ESR and the same or higher ripple current.

If you have trouble doing this, just post what brand and series the original caps were and we can suggest a replacement based on that.

Generally any of these caps will likely work fine (brand and series listed respectively):
Nichicon PW and HE, Chemicon KY and KZE, Panasonic FR and FM, or Rubycon YXG and ZL.

That also might explain the flashing green power LED. If the caps aren't working properly, you might get fluctuating voltage to the logic board.

A multimeter measuring the voltage on the connector between the power and logic board would confirm this theory.

              Re: samsung syncmaster 244T problem

My 244T won't turn on at all. The main switch at the back is on, however, when try to turn on the power at the front, no light at all. I opened the case and found those 3 capacitors with 1000uf 35v are rounded, so I changed all of them, but has no luck. Still the same sympton, no light at all. Can some one give some advise what else could be?

              Thanks!
