    245bw with crazy colors

my 245bw recently died, and from reading another thread i was able to partially bring it back to life, by replacing 2 caps, and one of the 3 "problem" resistors(the other 2 tested fine).

The only issue i have now is that that colors are messed up, alot of green and black when windows boots, and just messed up colors once i get to the desktop. I have tested the monitor on multiple machines and with multiple cables, so i know the problem still lies within the monitor.

Is this a sign that i should replace the other 2 resistors even though they tested fine? should i look somewhere else? has anyone else come across this problem. thanks in advance.

This sounds like a problem on the signal board, possibly a corrupted EEPROM. What brand and series of caps did you use?

For a number of reasons, both health and personal, I will no longer be active on this board. Any PMs asking for assistance will be ignored.

"1000UF 10V NICHICON RADIAL ELECTROLYTIC", ordered them off ebay, after replacing the 2 caps and resistor it fixed the "power buttons light up, but nothing on the screen" problem, but now i get the funky colors. I dont notice anything odd when i have nothing connected and i go through the monitors menus/when it flashes analog/digital, when looking for a signal, just once its connected to a pc.

Would a corrupted eeprom be a result of the caps going out? Out of all the threads ive read, youre the first to mention the eeprom.

actually, i think i was just having some bad luck, i started to mess around with the ribbon cable that has the black "bar clamp"(dont know the technical term), that secures it and the monitor would go to all white to black to black green every time i would power down/reboot/retry. Once i got it to "black"(with no green or white distortion), i wiggled all the other plugs and it started working properly. The two plugs i focused the most on was the one mentioned above, and the one that has the metal clips on each side to secure it(only one in there, looks like a tiny ide cable).

Thanks again, hope this helps, just re-check/re-seat all the cables if someone comes across this issue.

Philips 70PUS7855/12 bad colors when applying the tape fix on teh T-con board
          by silikon77
          Hi!
Got an 70 inch Philips tv model 70pus7855/12 from scraps and I decidet to give it a go. I'm an enthusiast but no porfessional in the electronics.
Found some advices watching youtube nad came up with this:
It came with no picture, after diagnosing it I found out that the right side of the T.con board was faulty.
I taped down the clock signals and I got a picture but the left side of the panel has less pronounced colours. Only the right 3rd side of the panel has good colors.
          See attached picture.

I tried a few combinations to block individual clock...

          LG OLED55CX Clicking No Power
          by cheebster
Hello, i have this OLED here, as the topic says OLED65CX.

TV shows standby led, when pressed the PSU clicks, then shut down.

Disconnecting the 12V VIN from the T-Con, make the TV boot up, led flashes like normal and it stays on.

          What i've tried so far:

I have a working TV, an OLED55C1. Similar TV... Took all the boards to the C1, 1 by one, and everything works. So basically, all of these boards from the defective CX (PSU, Main, TCON) works either 1 by 1, or together on the working C1.

However, none of the C1 boards work on the CX,...

Fixing an I-Inc IF281D for the 3rd time, now with added flickering!
          by DrvLikHell
Hello everybody! It's been nine years and I'm back again with the same monitor that several people here helped me fix back then. The first time, I replaced two caps as was recommended here and the original problem was solved. Then it started acting up a few years later and I came back for a parts list and replaced a few more caps (I didn't make a post about that and don't remember which ones), and again the problem was solved. This time, however, I'm not sure if it's caps.

The monitor stays on but certain colors will flicker. Generally it's darker colors like dark greys or dark blues,...
