Acer LCD that turns on but no picture for over 10 min in Acer al1916W is typical problem with bad conectors on lighting tube ( 1 of 4) .
Check well tube conectors , you neded disaembly LCD panel

Yeah I tried to search for the 40T03GP mosfet in both places and came up empty handed, i guess a cross ref. replacemnet would work?

Does Digikey or Mouser sell the Mosfets for the power supply?

the pins 1,2,3 I used a ohm meter on pin 1 black and pin 3 red, reading as if I shorted the wires. when I switch the wires I get a reading.

ok is it possible that if the 40T03GP Power mosfet is bad that the little fast blow fuse is ok? I looked at the fuse and it looks fine i checked both mosfets and on one i get a shot from leg 1 to leg 3 but when i reverse the black & red leads i get a reading.

You really cannot tell if the fuse is good just by looking at it, you will need to measure it.
I do not understand your question about the MOSFETs ,When they fail its usually shorted and that could cause a fuse to fail

OK replaced the caps on the power supply. I did not replace the (2) small caps as i could not read them w/o removing them. The power light comes on now and does not blink, I can see the display but no back lights for it to shine. any suggestions on that?

FC are perfectly fine for the others you mentioned.

Don't assume a KY is always better because [within a series] the ESR/Ripple change with can size and the KY might have a smaller can than the FC for that uF/volts - which could give the KY worse specs for that particular uF/volts.
[You have to look at data sheets...]

If either FC or KY works [ESR/Ripple] for whatever size [uF/Volts] I'd probably use whichever is cheaper unless some can size difference made one more attractive than another.
- Like for instance the height is pushing it for the FC and the equivalent KY is shorter. [Or vice-versa.]

Look at this KY for the 2200uF.

KY is a good cap series often used in better PSUs and w/specs bit better than FC.

Does flip-flop a little because of the different can sizes but KY is worth checking when you need something just a little better than FC.
Also Nichicon HE series is nearly identical to Chemicon KY series.
Almost every cap between HE and KY is an exact match.
[Which makes it easier to find one of them. If they are out of KY in some size they might have it in HE.]

Looks good so far except maybe the 2200uf 10V.
Would like to see more Ripple there.

For the 50v GL. - I looked in the data sheet...
The 4.7uF/50v is a 5mm cap.
The 47uF/50v is an 8mm cap.
Should be able to eyeball it.

1000uf 25V (12.5x20) EEU-FC1E102 Panasonic 1655 ripple
2200uf 10V (12.5x20) EEU-FC1A222 Panasonic 1655 ripple
1000uf 10V (10x16) EEU-FC1A102 Panasonic 1050 ripple (typo above 1000uf not 100uf)

How does this look for replacements? I did not look up the little 47uf 50v GL, they might be 4.7uf 50v will not know until I remove them.

OK Here i go
All the caps on the power supply (DAC-19M0005)
are all Capxon
220uf 25V KF (8x11.5) 550 ripple
1000uf 25V KF (13x20) 1650 ripple
2200uf 10V KF (13x20) 1750 ripple
100uf 10V KF (10x16) 1040 ripple

There are (2) small caps
One is 47uf 50V GL
& can't read the other one.

I have no idea what the one you can't read is.

Most KF can be replaced by Panasonic FM or FR but there are some ringers in the mix.
Capxon KF is a rather odd series in that some are higher grade and others just mediocre.
One KF may be equivalent to an HM and another to an HE or less.
That happens because KF doesn't stick to typical can sizes for the uF.

Except for the GL you seem to have the specs looked up already.
You just need read the mystery cap, get the GL specs and go shopping.
