Re: Emerson LC370em2
Thanks to YouTube. So I set my meter to the diode setting and when I swap + for - and get a reading it is a failed diode. As it is a one way check valve.

Re: Emerson LC370em2
So switch my ohm meter to measure resistance? Do not use the diode setting?

Re: Emerson LC370em2
Ok checked power leads going to the inverter and I get 166 volts. I checked the diodes and they measure around 3 or 5 volts across them. When it is plugged in the red led that indicates the tv is in sleep mode lights up but when I push the power button I get nothing. If I unplug the tv and wait awhile (seems like forever) it makes a short hiss type noise.Last edited by bruferrit; 07-16-2014, 10:11 PM.

Re: Emerson LC370em2
I am thinking it might be the power board. I was told that they replaced that cap as it was bulged out. I have fixed a few LCD monitors with bad caps. but usually the big ones do not go out.

Re: Emerson LC370em2
Thanks, Selldoor. another question is when i put power to the TV i notice it puts a LOAD on the home circuit I am on as I get a noticeable dimming of the lights. Is there any info out there to check the power supply board or just do a replacement of both the inverter & power board?

Emerson LC370em2
I just acquired a Emerson LC370em2, that when you plugin a red LED lights up in the front, you press the power button and nothing happens. I opened it up and the Caps on the power/video board look good (no pictures yet). how ever the inverter board (BA17G0F0103 2_1) main filter cap (the big one) looks like it has been replaced with a 390uf 200 WV +85C cap (blue shrink wrap) placement number C1902.
the question I have is this a correct replacement cap?

Re: Linksys SD2008
for the 470uf I'm looking at 667-EEU-FR1E471 from Mouser
& for the 1000uf I'm looking at 667-EEU-FM1E102 from Mouser.
Does that look good?

I have a gigabit 8 port switch with (4) Stone 470uf 25v 105 deg C caps that are bad & (2) stone 1000uf 25v caps 85 deg C. I read a forum where a guy replaced them with Nichon 820uf 16v poly for the 1000uf & 270uf 16v poly for the 470uf, the input AC adapter is 12vDC. Will these work out for this application, or should I stick with electrolytic's?
