    Sceptre x24wg-1080p Broken backlamp

Howdy! I have a Sceptre 24" monitor that has a couple of broken bulbs. I can NOT for the life of me find any 24" screen size bulbs (530mm x 2.0mm) ccfls ANYWHERE.

I have found a large amount in bulk which costs over $50 which isn't terrible, but I'd love to just find the 2 that I need. Does anyone know where to find these large bulbs for a decent price?!

    Thanks!

I have! They do offer a custom size order but each lamp is going to be over $25 a piece that way. I was looking for a little bit cheaper.

I'm beginning to think that around $50 is going to be the only way to fix this thing. Problem is I don't know if the rest of the board is working correctly so it's a bit of a gamble.

There are a couple of temporary solutions. If you have them available, a couple of shorter CCFLs can be used outside the lcd panel. These should keep the backlights on long enough to verify the monitor is working. If you don't have spare CCFLs handy, it has been reported a small cap across the output will make an effective dummy load. I recall it was .01uF, but a little research may be in order - my memory is NOT that good at 7:40 AM.

For a number of reasons, both health and personal, I will no longer be active on this board. Any PMs asking for assistance will be ignored.

Just my opinion,Test CCFL bulbs would be the best way to go
A CCFL from a 22” monitor is roughly 19.5” in length or 495.3 mm.
The connectors are most likely different, but if you're creative you could make a couple of “test CCFLs”
Whatever I do, I consider it a success, if in the end I am breathing, seeing, feeling and hearing!

Let me give you guys a little more info.

I have a test system set up (a system I finally got working and then broke the LCD Ribbon cable so it's no good as a display anymore). I have verified that the lower 2 CCFLs work and that the upper two do not. I have tested each bulb individually on my test system (with three other confirmed working bulbs) and have actually found one spot where the CCFL is broken. I know for SURE that the bulbs are at least ONE part of the problem.

I am going to go ahead and test the rest of the system with known working backlights to see if I can make sure that my only problem is the CCFLs. If I can do that, it's probably worth it to get the new bulbs. I'll report back if I for sure do get the board working and tested, but as of now I was just hoping to see if someone knew where I could get cheaper large bulbs

            Thanks for the advice guys!
