Customer had a monitor that would power on after several attempts at powering up. Monitor would stay powered up if it was not turned back off. I opened the unit and upon inspection my hunch was correct. Blown caps. Monitor had 3 bulging 25V/820uF samsung capacitors on the power supply. There were a total of 5 of these caps. I replaced 4 of the 5. 3 of which were visibly bulging and one which looked like it was ready to bulge. Replaced the caps with 35V/820uF caps that barely fit due to their height. Assembled monitor, powered up the unit and within several seconds the monitor came to life.
