Monitor had no power, no lights and made a arcing sound when the
power button was pressed. Upon opening and inspecting the unit I came
across many capacitors on the main board and the power supply with leaking
capacitors. I replaced (2) 10V/1000uF,(3) 35V/470uF, (3) 10V/470uF & (1)
25V/1000uF capacitors. The 25V/1000uF & 10V/470uF capacitors with higher
voltage capacitors (35V). After soldering the capacitors I successfully was able
to power up the monitor and test the VGA input. Sorry I did not document the locations of the capacitors. But they were all very obvious!
