Dell 1800FP display smudges?

I fixed this one by replacing the caps and power chip. When I hooked it up there were what looks like smudges on the panel, but I cleaned it off and they were still there. There is a small scratch on the top left, but that's not where the darkness is, I guess it is in the inside of the panel. Anyone take one of these apart? It looks like a pain in the a$$. Or does anyone have any other ideas what this could be?

Those appear to be pressure marks and are not repairable. Usually caused when someone sets something heavy against the screen as when some companies/individuals are moving and cram everything together where things are pushed up against the screen.
