Re: Acer AL2416W
Ooops, I'm sorry. Here is a reposted version, with pictures attached instead of inline.
Picture names should, more or less, describe the board.
Controller board looks fine, but included the pics anyways, the first 3 pics.
Next two are just the pics of the recapped locations. I debated including these pics at all. The caps were a few mm bigger than the originals, but I still managed to get it to fit in without any shorts to the can or leads. Soldering has been tested with multimeter. Looks fine close-up (as fine as a messy job like this can be.... )
Next two are close-ups of the MOSFET P and N pairs.
Next one is a shot of the back of the inverter board. Traces, nothing too interesting.
Then there's the pic of the whole setup as it is mounted on the back of the monitor
Next 4 are the power board. The first one shows at an angle to show the one cap I noticed was crooked. The next one I tried to show that there was no leakage and the plug wasn't trying to push out. It was just not upright.
I'll report the post and see if I can't get an admin to remove it.
Bonney, I caught your link in the other thread, the big thread. Noticed that it was for a supplier in EU. As far as replacement mosfets, I think I'm going to try to get a quote for how much it would cost to ship 3 of each to the US, inc. vat and all other fees. Digikey and Mouser don't have the exact part.
