Hi people! I would like to ask you for hints, how to increase the input sensitivity on a car amplifier. My old amp had much higher senstivity (or higher gain) but it was a bit underpowered, and became quite warm. Since it is mounted in a crowded space with little ventilation, i decided to replace it with a bigger one. This one warms up much less and drives my sub much better, everything is fine, but with this amp i have to crank up the volume much more. It's a chinese head unit with pretty low RCA outputs. So i thought maybe increase the input sensitivity on the amp. Here is a picture of the input, what parts should i change? Maybe change the R306 from 2.7K to let's say 3.3K? Or play with the OP amp gain? Sorry if my question is dumb, i'm not very into this thing, that's why i'm asking some help here. Thanks in advance!

Re: CAr amplifier input sensitivity
Well, this post is over a year old, and basically no responses at all. It's pretty disappointing that over 370 views nobody gave a damn to answer... Badcaps is not what it used to be 13 years ago when i opened an account here. I managed to solve this problem by myself, but still, disappointing. -

by ugamazingSo, I have a really bizarre issue that I'm struggling to identify the cause of. Working on an 820-02020 board with some bizarre keyboard/input-source character mapping. My suspicion is a possible damaged SPI ROM (U1970), perhaps, but I'm really not sure in this case:
1. The issue is pretty weird, but when installing MacOS, I noticed my WiFi password did not work. I quickly realized the special characters (!@#$%^& etc) were not mapping correctly.
2. I noticed the keyboard layout/input-source is defaulting to JAPANESE every single time I restore the board. I am not... -
by flibidyI have here a Magnum IA.100 which belongs to my parents.
The unit powers on & when the relay kicks in, you get a pop from the speakers (this might sound weird but is usual behavior for this amp). However, you get nothing coming through it from any of the inputs & no pops and crackls from any of the controls.
Because of the sound from the speaker when the amp turns on I have assumed that the output section probably works but I could be wrong & I'm not sure how to test that side of things further.

The bq24745 bq24745RHDR bq24745RHDT is a high-efficiency, synchronous battery charger with an integrated input-current comparator, offering low component count for space-constrained, multi-chemistry battery-charging applications. The input-current, charge-current, and charge-voltage DACs allow very high regulation accuracies that can be easily programmed by the system power-management microcontroller using the SMBus interface. The bq24745 charges two, three, or four series Li+ cells, and is available in a 28-pin, 5-mm x 5 mm QFN package.
The bq24745 features dynamic power management...-

by DannyxGood day folks. In another one of my "sonic projects", I got myself a couple of these little pre-made pre-amp boards off Ali (photo 1), mostly to experiment with them and learn something in the process by hopefully combining my modest electronics knowledge and my passion for audio, although I don't claim to be an audiophile who likes to spend thousands on pro audio gear....which itself is often regarded as just snake oil and marketing BS from what I've read. I'll try to keep the wall of text to a minimum so:
The op-amp they came with is an AD828, which the datasheet calls... -
