Help! - Kenwood KR-33SW Stereo Receiver

    Hi everyone,

I saved this Kenwood KR-33SW from the side of the road a little while ago.

I'm halfway through rewiring the mains input circuit to make it safe, shouldn't have a problem with that specifically.

However, I had to remove the front panel to rewire the mains switch. And while it was removed the tuning cord slipped off the tuning wheels! (right side of photo).

I have no idea how the tuning cord was wound before. I can't find a tuning diagram or manual for this model or a similar model anywhere! Anyone want to take a guess???

(Also I uploaded a circuit diagram of a similar model just in case anyone is interested )

Kenwood KR-6030 vintage stereo ,Old Man Trying to Save a Buck
    by DrDos
Hello all. I'll try to keep this short. I have no knowledge of electronics. I can use a multimeter and am familiar with caps to some extent. I bought a Kenwood KR-6030 vintage stereo. It need work and so I thought I would recap the thing since I get power to the on switch but nothing else is working. No lights, no sound and so forth. I went to Mouser to order caps and I find I am way over my head. I not only do not know the type of capacitors I need but Mouser and digikey do not accept Kenwood part numbers. I have the info such as 220uF 63v and such but no place to put it. I could buy a recap...

Audio video receiver KENWood KR-V990D,no sound
    by JRade
When I select the FM receiver, I find a radio station, the sound is heard on REC OUT(L,R), REC TAPE1(L,R),REC TAPE2(L,R) on high-ohm headphones, the sound regulation does not work.
The output reacts when I connect the record player to PRE OUT FRONT L, the sound is heard in the speaker but the sound regulation does not work. Then it does not matter what I chose on the front selector.
I replaced the capacitor C303/0.047F, nothing changes.
I'm asking for help, what should I do next?
    Thanks in advance!...

Running out of Ideas, hoping someone smart can provide some for my ONKYO TX-SR353 Receiver
    by CDNBrewer
    Hello Everyone,

I have an Onkyo TX-SR353 Audio/Video Receiver (5.1 ch with HDMI) that I am having a really hard time diagnosing and I'm about to throw this in the junk and go buy a new unit that is on sale until the 7th.

    Symptoms:
    • Intermittent (part of the reason why i'm having a hard time isolating problem), sometimes will work for 10+h at a time without issue
    • Original symptom was wife reported loud banging noise (like someone was banging on the wall with their fists) from the LEFT SURROUND speaker and then the unit shut off.
    • I swapped the Left and Right surround
