Harley Davidson Stereo - No Sound

Does anybody here have any experience with Radio Sound stereos? I have one here from a Harley Davidson and I have hooked it up according to the bikes wiring diagram and I get no sound. There are no volume, band or seek, tuner buttons as they are all controlled from the handlebar controls. Does anybody know the combination of pins to jump to get sound etc?
The only thing I get is lighting in the head and the power amplifiers get really hot. Any help would be appreciated

amps shouldnt get hot unless you push them - you have a serious problem.
probably with the power or speaker wiring.
