Harman/Kardon AVR 645 returning to stand-by after a few seconds.

A Harman/Kardon AVR 645 repair has been a hobby of mine for the past several years. My latest attempt involved the purchase of a DOA unit for part swapping and testing. The original AVR would power up then shut down after a few seconds. I completely tore down both units, found a couple of bad components and reassembled one of them. Same issue, no speakers connected. After extensive research I found a repair document from Harman/Kardon that explains the protection circuit in fantastic detail and provides specific test points for each fault (power, DC detection, overload & power) and the voltage values that tells me if there is a fault or not.
Long story short, it appears that the protection circuit is NOT responsible for the unit shutting itself down.

Any gurus here that could point me in a new direction of troubleshooting this kick-ass receiver?

I have 2 other Harman/Kardon receivers that are nearing 20 years of service (with some minor repairs). The only innovations of the last 20 years that these units lack is network/Bluetooth connectivity, Dolby Atmos, and HD/UHD. Don't care because these still sound terrific.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

It shuts off a couple seconds after turning on, but it isn't tripping any of the Protect circuits. Sometimes, not always, I can hear a slight buzz/sizzle right before it shuts down, but I can't locate the component that's doing the buzzing. It shuts down the moment any of the sources "lock in". Meaning the display stops showing everything and only shows the selected input and the inputs settings. I've created protect events by shorting speaker terminals and unplugging thermal sensors and it shuts down immediately.

Another observation. I can cycle through the sources for up to 10 seconds or so before it finally shuts off. What is being activated when this happens? Could it be an IC chip glitch?!

Replaced main large caps and most of the regulators. Tested dozens of caps and resistors.

I think this thing is mocking me.

I have a really weird problem, this motherboard was working normally, someday it just started and all fans were running but didn't want to post, tried resetting bios, checking CPU and it was getting warm tried external gpu, flashed bios with programmer, but same problem.
Next day after several attempts the board goes into protection mode, no more staying on, I turn on the PSU fans starts directly turning, it used to not start until I press the pwr button, now it starts directly and fans spins, and shuts off after 3 seconds sometimes less, then won't start again unless I unplug the PSU and...

Panasonic National NV-M3 VHS Camera shuts down after some seconds
    by APOPAP
    Hello everybody,
First post here. I have been reading posts here for some time now, but today I made my first account and post.
The same question is also posted on another site, here it is:

Just found an old Panasonic National NV-M3 VHS Camera without the original charger but with a special bag with a led, switch and fuse that is designed for a lead-acid 12v 6Ah battery. It has two cables coming off the bag that leads to the camera terminals (Only + and - ). Pretty sturdy design I think.

I tried connecting it to a Computer PSU (12.7v) but I get battery error...

Sony LED 65X9005A shuts down after few seconds - looking for help
    by tec3000
Hi community! Germany calling I am wondering if you guys can help me out. I have an issue with my Sony LED TV. I've been told this is a good place to ask. Thanks for anyone who will reply and offer advice. Appreciated!

I have a KD-65X9005A Sony 4k LED TV. For a few weeks I've got this problem where I turn on the TV and within a few seconds the TV starts getting darker until it shuts itself off and I get the 4 blinking error code. HOWEVER there is one exception: Whenever I switch to the i-Manual, a full screen on-screen instruction manual, the TV never turns off. I tested for hours!...

    Would I be able to swap a 0.27 Ohm Kx2 5W resistor for a 0.22 Ohm Jx2 5W resistor in a Harman/Kardon AVR? Cement type.
