Hi Midibob,

Could you please make some advice about Mini3 modding idea?
I want to make a gap between modelling and output part of the amp to connect a looper pedal. This amp have two additional jacks -- phone jack and line input jack, so I want connect them by external wire.
Phone jack have a switch that turn off loudspeaker when phone plugged in, so this switch must be removed. It's easy.
But second part of this mod looks not easy for me. The phone amplifier and loudspeaker amplifier should divided. The sound from main input should go through modelling part and output to phone jack, and sound from line in should go to loudspeaker.
Is it possible to make this mod?

Hi,

Anything is possible of course but I can't advise you where you would need to break into the circuit to do what you want.
Unfortunately I don't have a diagram for the unit but from a visual inspection it would look like the output from the master volume goes to somewhere around the 'Aux in' jack where it is mixed together with the Aux signal. There is an SMD transistor here too but I don't know if that's part of the mixing circuit?

The switch on the phones jack disables the input to the PA and doesn't turn off the speaker as in most normal PA's.

Sorry I can't be more help as it's not something I've really looked into.

I have mini vox 3 and have no sound from speaker. Only headphone jack works. How can I get your daughter board? I live in Ohio, USA

My daughterboard arrived today and now my Mini 3 lives again

I also have a fully working original Mini 3 and side by side I can't really tell any difference between the original and the one fitted with the dughterboard.
