I know this is not PC related so I'm in this section and it is not everyone's favorite brand for audio either but a buddy of mine gave this unit to me to see how it ticks and why it doesn't play sound when an iPod or iPhone is plugged into it. If you look the unit up on the web you will see a white box with a black grill that contains three speaker drivers and a docking port for the Apple MP3 players and phones. If I plug the unit in and drop an Apple device on top the unit lights up a flashing green light in the lower right, the device then goes to iPod mode and begins a song but no sound comes from the speakers. I can adjust the volume of the iPod/iPhone using the volume controls on top of the HiFi but no difference. I know how to take the unit apart and have successfully done so. It has two single voice coil drivers on either side of the dual voice coil bass driver. There is a small Lite-on power supply nestled in the bottom of the cabinet behind the bass driver and just above the battery compartment. A single pcb is mounted atop of the power supply with plenty of what look like polymer caps. All of the speaker drivers, docking port, volume control, remote control receiver "eye", and the "power switch" (with the flashing green light) plug into the pcb with their uniquely pinned connectors. Just wondered if anyone here with experience with repairing consumer electronics has had a chance to check one of these out and see why it doesn't play sound. My buddy apparently is not the only one with this problem. He knows that I am not a big fan of electronics that have to go back to their maker for repair since I fix my own computers and such. Anyone? Anyone?

Re: Apple HiFi A1121
I recently sold the Apple HiFi "as-is" to a buyer on ebay with full disclosure of the issues. A lot of cold solder joints on these unit's power supply PCB. I just didn't really care too much to fix it anymore since I am not an Apple products person.
I'll recap an old 80's Mac or II, IIc, IIe for the sake of memories when I used them back then. I'm not a "modern day" Apple fan.
Android & old school retro PC's with Linux suits me just fine!Comment

by a_p3rsonHi there,
I'm looking for anyone who might have information on Apple's embedded Apple Watch charging daughterboard, ID 820-02601. This is currently used by Anker in their Apple Watch charging products, but likely by other Apple partner brands as well.
You can see the board referenced in ChargerLab's teardown of the Anker Y1811 3-in-1 MagSafe cube - they discuss the "Apple Watch wireless charging circuit" about 2/3rds down the page. It's not pictured, but the board ID reads 820-02601-A, which sure sounds like Apple.
This daughterboard uses an interesting...-
