I have this technics audio video receiver. I was at the thrift store looking for another receiver as my wife had chucked my previous one(the klh r5100 on other post). I only paid 6.00 for it as it was broken. When i plugged it in at the goodwill it would play any sound. When i came home i tried again. Then once i started pressing the other aux audio buttons it started working again. I've had it for a week and still no problems. Should i be worried it will break again or would it be ok. I listen to it just about everyday.

by CdDvdFlashFor this Dick Smith TV GE6878 (Thompson) I replaced the broken remote with a universal it kinda works though if its more than a few meters away sometimes the buttons register and sometimes they wont so I bought another remote from another brand and it has the same problem, I've had an old TV in the past that the sensor died completely and I replaced it to fix it could this be a similar problem? I tried looking for a service manual, spare parts for a receiver and a parts list but I couldnt find any info. can someone please help me to find the info online for a service manual or where I can buy...

by JordanWEveryone -- I am trying to troubleshoot my NAD C740 stereo receiver, which either won't power on or won't consistently stay powered on.
I will start by saying that I am a hobbyist, and while I am decently handy with basic DC stuff, I am more hesitant when it comes to mains-powered equipment (that is, reluctant to poke around with a multimeter when it is powered on)
The central issue is that after a long period of non-use, the receiver powers on and all functions seem to behave normally, but after a couple of minutes, it powers itself off.
If I attempt...-

by JayPoorJayHello All... Grateful for this site!
I just repaired a 70inch Sharp flat screen I found on the curb in NYC (there are 1000s) thanks to the good folks on this site
I have a question about an audio signal from a TV that only has a headphone jack as a audio output source. I have it hooked up now with a headphone style adapter that converts the headphone plug to an RCA. I plug this into my PHONO input on the receiver. To play it this way I need to turn volume waaaay down on TV and volume up higher than I think I should on the receiver. I get undertone hissy sound, blunt...-

by pulper111Hello. My receiver "seems" to be working fine. It functions as it should. the receiver is the Pioneer vsx-1123. However, while doing some work in the house, I noticed that my HDMI cable from the receiver was registering as "hot" using my fluke non-contact voltage tester.
I've done some troubleshooting to try to narrow down the problem, and all wires (speaker/hdmi/subwoofer) coming from the receiver, whether it's powered on or stand-by, register as "hot". none of my other receivers are experiencing this issue, so it doesn't seem to be an issue with...-

by DannyxGood day folks.
TL;DR: has anyone tried pairing one of THESE "kinetic" battery-less switches with THESE generic remote modules ?
Details: I recently got hit by this craze of wanting to add remote controls to the lights around my house, so I went with those generic 433Mhz remote relay modules found everywhere, which are really basic, easy to use and work well, since I used them before in other projects. What I like most about them is they accept all kinds of 433Mhz remotes that float around Aliexpress, since they're all the same under the hood, save for the...03-08-2022, 11:01 AM - Loading...
