Hello! I bumped into component shown in the pictures, but I don't have a clue what that is. Does any of you know what it is? Markings on the component says: "Z66/67" and "T180".
What component is this?

Re: What component is this?
does it press on something when it's mounted?
it's copper so it may be a thermal switch.
the fact that there is a thermal fuse inline as a backup may prove this.
"T180" - could be the temperature
the thermal fuse will blow at 230' -
Re: What component is this?
Oh yes, it is thermal switch! I wondered that I can't get any kind of readings from it, but I heated it beyond that 180 degrees centigrade and it started to conduct. Thank you stj from your tip! Never seen one of those before, and Googling didn't helped...
And yes, it presses against metal plate.Last edited by hyva_ana; 09-17-2022, 10:10 AM.Comment

by francisewContinuing my saga of trying to recover data from the Toshiba / KIOXIA SSD on the XPS 13 2-in-1. It is actually a single-chip NVMe storage device, including the memory and controller in a single package (not an eMMC as I wrote above). The drive appears to come in two formats. One is the single-chip direct to board version included on the Dell XPS13 7390 2-in-1. The other format is an m.2 22x30 NVMe carrier board that also includes a handful of external power regulation components.
It's unfortunate that I haven't been able to find datasheets for the Toshiba/KIOXIA BG4 series NVMe chips... -
How do I find my "board path" as shown on openboarddata.org ?

by galkinvvHere is a dump of micron ICs markings for a backup purpose. By now Micron still have online part finder on the site, but I'm not sure that all deprecated ICs are kept forever. So here is a snapshot for everybody as a CSV table...01-14-2024, 10:41 AM
