which thermistor for battery pack ?

ok got a 80v lithium pack in with dodgy temp sensing thermistor .its stuck at 13.5k .
have removed it and tacked a 10k resistor across where it goes and now the charger thinks its good to charge proving it is the thermistor ..
question is would a MF52D 3950 1% High Precision NTC Leaded Thermistor work ok for this application ?

This might be a better choice

    P/N 1600-10K Thermistor

I could not find the temperature chart for this particular part number

    MF52D 3950

You might want to find out what the temperature range that this charging unit has

Use a pot and find out what the range is

good idea if i can find a pot . i can get hold of another battery pack and check extremes of the one fitted by blowing hot air and freezing it .

rooting around the net it looks like beta 3950 are used in some packs so will order a couple of them and see how it behaves .

ok i fitted the new thermistor but it was still playing up . i had spliced the new wires to the old and didnt notice the wires had been trapped since it was built in the factory . fixed that problem and now all is well .

Ryobi 36V (aka 40V) 6Ah Faulty Battery Pack
                by brispuss
Purchased a Ryobi 36V 6Ah battery pack maybe just over a year ago.

Battery pack had been used on about 3 or 4 occasions for powering a cordless lawnmower. I was wanting to use this battery pack again recently, but on checking the battery charge state via the battery pack test button, there was no LED indication at all of charge state which suggested the pack was fully discharged.

I found this to be odd as I usually fully recharge battery packs shortly after use. So either the pack developed some sort of fault which completely discharged the pack cells (after recharging),...

How can I charge that battery pack?
                by razenxd
                Hello,
it's not a laptop/desktop related question but I figured that someone here will have the right knowledge.
At work we use a few Aldebaran(now Softbank/United Robotics group) Nao Robots which they use some custom 6S li-on battery packs.
Nao robots tends to draw from the battery even if they are shut down, and the BMS tends to be a little aggresive, if the pack stays on a turned off robot for 3 months it's gonna lock and will refuse to charge.

Now, I have noticed a few things.
The "dead" battery, while connected to charger and NOT Charging will...

Milwaukee M18 HD12.0 (12 amp hour battery pack) unbalanced failure charger refusing
                by sam_sam_sam
I have two Milwaukee 12 amp hours battery packs that have an issue with battery cells very unbalanced these are probably over 4 years old and been heavily used in the past but now get occasionally used heavily and when I went to use the grinder tool the battery lost battery battery power very quickly so I decided to open it up and found some battery cells voltage from 3.6 to 4.1 no wonder the battery charger was not fully charging them 3 out of 4 LEDs were on meaning that it was only 75% charged

So I have put them on the battery testing machine to drain each battery cell down to...

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
                by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

                by sam_sam_sam
I have bought this Zener Diode for this project what size and wattage resistor value do I need to use to get near 50 watt output
I bought this from an eBay seller but unfortunately they only had one

I bought three from Vetco Electronics these are Sylvania ECG5185A 9.1@10w A to Stud what size and watt resistor do I need to use to get near 10 watt output
I bought three of from them to also make battery packs with this output power limit in mind

I want to use this battery pack and turn it into a 9.1 output battery pack output to eliminate using 9 volt battery...
