Help with testing SRF10-10 Rectifier ???

    Hello Guys,
    Need some help with

10A Dua lSchottky Barrier Rectifier, (data sheet,)

    http://www.datasheetarchive.com/SRF10-10-datasheet.html

I have 3 of these, each removed from their different LCD Monitor power suplies,
not sure how to test, only have access to DMM, I am not scope litterate,
I did assume that these are two diodes,
and that both Cathodes went to Pin 2,
and one Anode went to Pin 1
    and other Anode to Pin3
but I am not so sure now.

Can you help me out please ???
    Thanks BOB

    hey bob

if they're clearly marked as SRF10-10 (with a dash, no suffix) you can be pretty sure it's the way you describe.
to be absolutely sure you can try to find out the manufacturer by its logo (if there's one on the part itself)...
.. but if you test with a DMM you can verify the polarity anyway. red to anode and black to cathode should give you a reading (the forward voltage drop, <850mV according to datasheet), the other way round it should be open.
(careful... with an analogue meter it's reversed.)
any other result means the diode is faulty.

Re: Help with testing SRF10-10 Rectifier ???

      Hello Kikkoman
Thanks for your input, great help, they are just SRF10-10 (no suffix),
Manufacturer is Frontier Electronics, (all three), logo funny slanted F in circle, the data sheet is also Frontier Electronics as you have seen.

I have tested all 3 on DMM diode test setting, all 3 are kaput,2 have .000 readings, to left side and 1 to the right side on reversed polarity,
the 3 other readings I had are
      .242
      .279
      .244
      with reversed polarity reading 1.
makes me think that this SRF10-10 is a weak component, one is out of Acer 19'' the other 2 out of Dell 15'' + 17'' Monitors

Now you have the Manufacturer, and D/sheet, can you just confirm for me that my assumption on this component was right ???
so I know in the future that I can test these correctly.
      Many Thanks
      Bob
