I have not given up on this project but I going to buy a couple more of these battery pack enclosures for my battery backup project I finally found some BMS protection boards that are made for 24 volt battery backups for Lipo 4 battery packs which I going to buy a couple of and wait a month to get them
Here is the BMS board that I am referring to

I tested one battery out of one of these battery packs and it testing virtually new which I am a little bit surprised because the battery pack enclosure is a little bit rough looking I think I might have a project in mind for these batteries at least some of them anyway
I going to build a battery pack for my iPad in a plastic enclosure that is almost the same size as the iPad use a little Velcro one the tablet and a little bit on the battery pack to keep them together when needed and I think these battery cells will work just fine for this application
Now I going to have to modify the front of this battery pack enclosure so that I can hook up two battery pack enclosure that are going to be next to each other and I have to have space for the mounting the battery enclosures in the rack mounted enclosureLast edited by sam_sam_sam; 09-15-2024, 06:18 PM.

Right now Battery Hookup has these e-bike battery packs that are used but I am going to remove them and test them and see how good they are and maybe resell or reused them for another project this is for another day
When I get the rack mounted enclosure that I mentioned in another post I will see how well they fit in the enclosure and how much room I will have left

These battery packs are a little bit hard to get out of the enclosure because they were a little bit glue happy who ever does this or a robot was a little bit messy when doing it but you need a plastic prying tool to separate the glue from the enclosure and then use the handle of prying tool to push out the battery pack out of the enclosure
The plan is two buy a couple more of them so I can make a 7s battery pack and fill in the space with more parallel battery cellsLast edited by sam_sam_sam; 09-15-2024, 12:28 PM.Tags: None
