Are cores intended for chokes different from those for inverter transformers ?

    Yes, usually different core material.

Design of CCFL Backlight Inverters with Frame & Bar Cores

      Summary

Portable devices, such as notebook computers and personal digital assistants are developed rapidly nowadays, which places an increasing demand on display technology. The LCD with cold cathode fluorescent back lighting satisfies the requirements on display performance, size and efficiency.

The backlight inverter plays a crucial role in supplying the power to the lamps of these flat-panel displays.

The frame and bar ferrite cores, described in this brochure, are especially designed...

INTEL NUC 8i5BEB 8i5BEH -some cpu cores died?!?!

      Hello to everybody!
I am asking some experienced members opinion on the following problem. The NUC was working fine until new win 10 install and while doing some updates just freeze restarting on bios splash screen. At first I thought is a corrupted bios, took a dump with ch 341,and asked for help on winraid forum, got the bin cleaned...etc and rewritten on the chip, same situation, freeze booting at splash screen.Trying to install ubuntu server failed also but, freezing when ubuntu said "bringing all cores up" something like that...That got me thinking might be something wrong with the...

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2 Needed help with identifying charging IC
      by sofles
      Hi there,

Recently I bought broken Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2, the problem with them is that battery discharges on its own even with headphones turned off. It is a quite common issue with this model and even with model higher PX8.

With help of thermal camera I found out that there is one IC that is hot even with headphones turned off. To check if I'm correct I bought another PX7 S2 working one and replaced small charging board with this IC and problem solved, battery no more drains on its own. After changing board back to original problem returned so I'm 100% sure problem...

      Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2e Internal Photo's
      by sigh45
This is a long shot but does anyone have a photo of the USB Charge board wiring? I have a pair here that somebody has used a blowlamp to get the port off, Luckily the tracks are all good but some of the NC and filter cables were desoldered. A new port is fitted but there isn't a sniff of any marking on either side of the headphones as to the cables use. Here's hoping

      Cheers

      Simon
