    That's really weird.
I really don't know what to say except see if anybody at XDA has the same phone and resources for it.

Do you like the phone? I'm looking into upgrading my Lumia 900 and that one certainly seems more affordable than the Lumia 920 I'm looking at upgrading to...

Yeah, had it about a week and I am very impressed.

Feels very snappy, screen looks good, 540x960 resolution, 5.3inch.

            Scores 6425 on antutu benchmark.

Its played every game I have downloaded so far, including GTA vice city with no lag whatsoever

For the price of these you can't go wrong, just have to remember that there isn't much support for them if things go wrong.

If you need anymore info on this phone just let me know and I will stick a vid up of it running some apps or games.

Great thing about Android is that it's given a very good OS to China, who have put it on half-decent phones and made it work well. Before you had to deal with poorly translated and buggy OSes.

Yeah, except google restricted the apps on any "noncertified" brand of phone. Not sure how they're getting away with that given that the linux kernel is GPL...

If you want to see a truly free Mobile OS, perhaps this may be worth noting:

                  http://www.ubuntu.com/devices/phone
                  sigpic

                  (Insert witty quote here)

Mine came with Play store on it, logged into my account no problem.

Ubuntu phone looks good But it will take alot for me to leave android now.

I still dont understand why people like iOs either? It feels like its not your phone?

I hope it's not too much trouble but could you just record a quick vid of you booting up the phone, opening a couple apps, loading webpages, playing angry birds, etc...
                      I'm seriously considering this...
                      thanks

and battery life is extremely important to me... do you get a full days charge with room left to spare?

I'll get the camcorder out later.

booting takes about 5 seconds with "Quick boot" enabled and with it disabled it takes 30 seconds. (Timed with an online flash stop watch). and battery will easily do a day.

plus you get a spare battery with it too.

takes a while to charge, but I only have a 700ma charger.

what angry birds would you like to see?

And any other games and apps?

BTW, I would -NOT- trust any charger that came with a knock-off phone, or any device from China. They are unsafe. Charge it using a used adapter from another phone or a computer.

I didn't use it tom, it was a 2 prong one, I have an adapter but decided to use a sony ericsson 0.7a one instead.

Still wary of the battery though

Gonna see if a note 2 battery will fit it.

                            EDIT;

                            Nope, wont fit.

Any way of seeing if the battery is of good quality? I have a spare.

Not without a discharge rig. Or knowing who made the cells. Probably a standard size -- e.g. Nokia 3510i battery very common in Chinese products due to wide availability, low cost.

                                Battery is quite big.

It appears to be the same as the Samsung Galaxy Ace i8160.
No way it's 3100mAh. 1200~1300mAh looks to be about the max for that size.

Battery monitor widget shows it as 1500mah, not sure how accurate that is though .

That's probably closer to the true capacity. I see some Samsung originals at 1500mAh. But you can always source a genuine Samsung one which'll likely work.

I guess the real question is, is it obviously inferior to a real note 2?
