    What is it?

I thought it was a resistor, but can't identify the markings.
Sorry for the picture quality. Bad Lighting.

    Starting from the left:
    1st color Yellow
    2nd color Violet
    3rd color Silver
    4th color Gold
    5th color Black

Of course this could also start with the black stripe.

Installed on its end near SMPS. The component is a medium green color overall in case you can't tell from the picture. Thanks

    Re: What is it?

5 band resistors can be notorious to identify by color. Best thing to do is use a multimeter to try and identify them provided they arent burnt to a crisp.

Also, AFAIK, black is not a color you would find on the ends of a 5 band resistor so that may be part of the problem as to why your having trouble identifying it.

.47 ohm, 5% with possible temperature coefficient (black).
          Is it plugged in?

            Thanks Everyone
Well B7000029 got the type correct it appears to be a Flameproof Metal Film Resistor. Longbow got the ohms and 5% correct. The parts list says: (RW 2WS 0.47ohm P=7.0 J ) . So what does the P=7.0 mean any ideas. I'm guessing the J is tolerance of 5%.
