Rtx 2080 on 2070 graphics card

Hello. Im curious if this will work swapping a bad 2070 gpu chip for a 2080 healthy chip?

What kind of problems might occur?

your probably going to have to swap the bios.
do they use the same ram?
compare schematics

I dont know if same mem chips and such. Im mostly toying with the idea if you can do swaps like that.
Bios probably needed.

But i do have a 2070 that i havent tryed to fault find and i also got a 2080 card with badly broken pcb by drop damage.
If the 2070 have a bad gpu i might try and see out of curiosity

Yes if i go that route i Will see if i can find schematics.

Sounds like pinout might be same on both gpu chips

you also need to compare the core voltage - alvough i think it's controlled by the bios somehow

forgive me for my backwards logic on this subject..... if it was me..i'd EBAY look for a Non-working 2080 card and use the damaged one for one from Ebay and then troubleshoot the one from ebay and use the parts from the dropped card....i just KNOW it would be cheaper my 2 cents Daniel.
