SR40 90x90 stencil direct heat, where to find?

Mostly i use 90x90 stencils for chip reball, then i remove stencil and apply heat with heatgun...and preheater...and everything is fine. But this SR40 pch chips are very small with lots of balls half milimetar from each other...and i am not happy with results... I get bridges and so on....So i was thinking maybe to reball these SR40 chips with direct heat stencils...but i can not find it in 90x90 size. I tried aliexpress and ebay...but nothing.
Maybe someone knows place to buy? Thx

I was under the impression direct heat stencils are of a similar size to the chip. The indirect are the larger 80x80 and 90x90 types.

Hmmm maybe you are right...when i bought rewark station i got a lots of stencils (large but for old chips) and some of them were for direct heat and some indirect so i assumed that there is also case for 90x90 stencils, but i was wrong. So that means i have to invest in a new reball jig.

Btw is anyone using 90x90 indirect heat for 40SR PCH reball? And how they keep all that balls so close to each other to not bridge? thx

Dont wont to open new topic...so i will ask here..
Regarding size of solder balls when using stencil for reballing...I spoke with one guy who advise me to use smaller solder balls then recommended on stencil...for example on sr3yy stencil he will not use 0.45 solder balls recomended but 0.40...
Do you use exact solder ball size recommended or? What if i use a bit smaller solder balls, any problems i should expect? Thx

direct heat stencil, where do you get it? and how to prevent warping?
          by myth77
So, lately i found that for smaller chips like pch it is very difficult to reball with nondirect heat stencil. So i decided to try direct heat stencils...and while i am waithing some stencils to arrive i have a few questions:

          1. From who do you buy a quality direct heat stencils? i am reading that they can vary in quality and make a big difference...Any trusted sellers?

          2. I am reading also the problem of warping (curving) direct heat stencils...Is it because of quality of the stencils? or/and because some preheating is also required? and help and advice here?

Marantz SR5007 popping on volume change and mute in Direct Mode
          by BigOof
          Hi,

I bought a used Marantz SR5007 and it's giving me some issues that I can't seem to really place. It functions well in most settings, ARC mostly works, it has no issues driving my speakers in any of the digital input modes, but I'm having issues running analog inputs in direct or pure direct mode. For some reason in this mode there's distortion for every volume increment I give it, but once the volume is stable it has no issues. Muting creates a loud pop, switching to another source also causes a pop and so does turning off the amp in that mode. Again, no issue in the digital modes....

Mounting and Handling Guidelines for TO220 TO220F TO247 Cases / Packages

The TO220, TO220F and TO247 are the popular packages for power devices because of their versatility and ability to dissipate moderate amounts of heat. This application note describes the basic guidelines for handling power MOSFETs in TO220, TO220 and TO247 packages shown in Figure 1. Please note that only mechanical and soldering guidelines are covered here. Additional precautions are required for isolating high voltage rated devices to meet safety regulations.

detecting heat with IR LED receiver

I have some dark IR led, and want to know if it is be situable to detect pure heat (not visable glow ir radiation) in well lighted desk?

So, if I put hand over it in near distance like few centimeters, that detect rising heat, not covering it from light.
Something like termal camera, but in one spot, any simple circuit?...

trying to recover data from the Toshiba / KIOXIA SSD on the XPS 13 2-in-1
          by francisew
Continuing my saga of trying to recover data from the Toshiba / KIOXIA SSD on the XPS 13 2-in-1. It is actually a single-chip NVMe storage device, including the memory and controller in a single package (not an eMMC as I wrote above). The drive appears to come in two formats. One is the single-chip direct to board version included on the Dell XPS13 7390 2-in-1. The other format is an m.2 22x30 NVMe carrier board that also includes a handful of external power regulation components.

It's unfortunate that I haven't been able to find datasheets for the Toshiba/KIOXIA BG4 series NVMe chips...
