    Hakko 850b air flow issues

I was wondering if anyone had some insight to this unit. I got this used the air flow control is a pneumatic type. Was jammed. I cleaned it out and it works now. But I feel that the air output is quite low compared to my generic 858 hot air gun.

The 858 has the fan in the handle. And the hakko 850b has the pump in the unit itself.comparing the units the output air on the hakko is significantly lower than the 858.

Is this normal for the air flow to be quite small or does the pump need servicing? It may be I gotten used to my 858 station and I'm not used to the hakko?

It seems to be controlled the output air flow. The pump i think gets 120v no direct controls. The pump is constant and the pneumatic knob releases air from the output. attatched are some pictures

ZD-915 vacuum pump motor mount service alert
        by sam_sam_sam
If you have this Desoldering Gun Station there is something you should be aware of the two screws that hold the motor to mounting for pump can come loose and make raddling noise

One note this unit has been repaired already once because of switching power supply regulator ic chip failure
Now this with the vacuum motor mounting issue yes I give this Desoldering station a very hard work out and use about every weekend to do some type of project

The fix is taking the vacuum pump assembly out and take the metal cover off and you will see the two screws on it

        Audio Issues - Realtek ALC3306 - Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14ARP8 - Type 83AX
        by SoulFreeze
Hi, trying to troubleshoot some problems with this laptop I just finished repairing which had power issues (Burnt Buck converter - SY8883DFC shorted to ground).

After repairing the above issue, I realized the following remaining problem,
Sound only comes from bottom speakers, top palmrest speakers don't work. Neither does the headphone jack (static/buzzing).
The computer recognizes headphones are connected and displays a popup in windows
Sometimes, the computer will boot up and the sound will be working fine. However, if I run intensive programs and the computer...

Hakko 950 SMT hot tweezers but no base or stand
        by redwire
I got gifted a Hakko 950 SMT hot tweezers but no base or stand.
        Any suggestions for building one?

"The 950 is compatible with the Hakko 936, 937, 939, 703, 926, 927 and 928 soldering stations." Apparently it has two heaters in parallel "24V 50W", one RTD temperature sensor 43-58Ω at room temp. 5-pin DIN.
I don't have any of those, have a 470-2 (no RTD in) and a FX-888A.

Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH - Ideapad 3 well known solder joint issues
        by Nagyesz
I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH, which has started exhibiting the well-known issues of the Lenovo IdeaPad 3.

All stress tests run perfectly, and there are no performance issues. However, the solder joints are almost certainly starting to fail. If the top two screws on the back are not screwed in, moving the screen results in a BSOD or, in some cases, a slight artifact and freeze. This is a 2023 notebook..

How can I extend its lifespan? Could reflow help?

It has ryzen 5 5500h, rtx 2050, no soldered ram.

        Example of the artifacts:
