Which Low Temp Desolder and Solder Paste?

I am a retired ET and help my stepson at his Computer and TV service shop.
I have limited experiance with SMD Desolder and Soldering. What is the best for desoldering? QuickChip or the Zepher stuff? What is the best or easy to use Solder Paste? The more I lokked online the more options and confusing it got. Every one said theirs was the best.
I know I need low temp melting solder for IC removal. What is the best wattage, tempature for soldering Iron. Tip size? Then the soldering? I see people use soldering irons, others use solder paste and iron or solder paste with hot air flow. A pre heaters required? If uou add up all the cost it it does not seem worth while.
I do have several soldering irons, one Den-on delodering tool that will also blow hot air. What do you guys suggest for a decent amount of toolls for occasional smd rework. My work bench is good stock of meters, 100mhz scope, P.S., cap checker, ESR meter, leekseeker, Sencore TF46 and some other test equipment.
    Thanks

    Solder paste recommendations please
    by dicky96
Hi guys. Well I thought solder paste was just solder paste but apparently not

    I watched this short video

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSb1fgCMUug

I want to try solder paste for resoldering BGA chips and LGA sockets as I am having no luck at the moment. I have no problem safely removing the old part, it's getting the replacement one to solder which is where I am going wrong. The Type 5 solder paste link he gives in the above video says it is not available.

I want to use the paste like in the video on this thread

Guide to transplant MEC1503 EC chip and EEPROM reprogamming for T14s gen 2 and X13 gen 2
    by acedogblast
This is a guide that I am writing for helping others to replace their MEC1503 EC chip if it breaks (or to get around an inconvenient prompt to the BIOS). This forum has been extremely helpful to me so I would like to contribute to help others. I will tell you right now that this task is very difficult to do. You MUST have experience and tools to do precision micro-soldering, BGA reballing, trace repair, and general laptop repair skills.

There are some specialty tools needed to do this task. The replacement MEC1503 chips can be acquired from Aliexpress. Do not buy the bare chips as...

Desoldering - soldering BGA chip close plastic mini fpc connectors ?
    by corrize
Hello, I need your advise please ? I need to remove and replace the BGA black chip with fpc connectors around. The PCB is small, from camera.

There is no plastic component directly under, on the other face, (only fuse and oscillator I can remove if they are sensitives to heat), but there is a lot of very small smd components I don't want to desolder by mistake.

    I have :
    - hot air, and a
    ll stuff around
    - true kapton tape
    - 140 and 180 degree soldering paste
    - bismuth
    - little hot plate 250 degree max
    - the new BGA chip with probably

    Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....
