Oscilloscope on the bench, do you protect it ?

    Oscilloscope on the bench, do you protect it ?

    My new MSO Oscilloscope is on the way, and it will arrive if few weeks.
    But I have just realize that at my bench I do not have a dedicated space which is specially protected so to host it.

    I am looking for ideas but the problem is that I do not know yet what I really need.
    I can only imagine some sort of a cabinet with possibly an door of clear plastic.
    And even in this probably wooden cabinet, to have an additional space for the probe and accessories.

    Well If some one have build and such a home made solution please post a picture.
    If you are using some sort of a ready product, just share the info.

      Hello.
      I have jut got my first analogue oscilloscope. An Isotech 620 20MHz.

      I want to learn how not to damage it, and I found instructions on the internet obscure.
      They talk about ground, earth, floating ground, this, that....
      But they don't actually say anything anything useful so far.

      I want to know:
      Don't connect exactly this to exactly there or it blows up.

      For example, I am tracing a signal from a function generator in an audio amp, or testing for voltages in different parts of a circuit.
      I want to know what not to connect...

      Dynamco analogue oscilloscope

      I have recently acquired a Dynamco D7100 analogue oscilloscope without a user manual. As this is the first time I have owned or used an oscilloscope I would like to try and find an instruction book. The manufacturers no longer hold any information and a Google search only found one site but when I downloaded a 'service manual' all I got was gobbledegook. Any help would be gratefully appreciated or even pointers to a generic manual where I could learn more.

      I'm trying to repair this powered mixer. Sorry this is a bit long but I want to give as much info as possible to help get an answer,


      As soon as it powers on the protect light comes on. There are relays that connect the speakers to each channel of the amplifier but they never click. If I connect a 60W light bulb in series with the mains supply it comes in bright then goes to maybe 30-50% brightness - it seems to dim a little further over time

      I have power to the amplifier, I think it was as about plus/minus 50-60V for the main amp, and plus/minus 15V...

      Hie I have a Lenovo laptop
      Lenovo Ideapad 100-14IBY AIVP1-AIVP2 LA-C771P rev 1.0
      it's working only on the bench power supply when I put the battery it doesn't power on. when I also use the original charger it doesn't power. the batter Is fully charged, I used another laptop to charge the battery. but when I use a bench power supply it works perfectly

      with the original charger only

      PIN3 0.45V
      PIN4 0.45V
      PIN5 O.43V
