SONY VAIO VPCCA15FG Shutdown randomly in 1 or 2 minutes..

    Hi All...

    Here is my story....

    SONY VAIO VPCCA15FG
    M/B : MBX-239 ( See attachment )
    Bios : See Attachment

Test power on with lcd only and MB + Heatsink Fan ( no hdd etc ) DOS mode only, it will shutdown randomly at 1 or 2 minutes, it can power up again just for 1 or 2 minutes, just like that. HM65 Chips and PL16 get hot when we touch it's about 45'C measure with my DMM.

    1. Change PL16... Done
    2. Reball HM65... Done
    3. Change CPU... Done

Any suggestion on this case ? I don't have shematic or couldn't find till now and bios dump file too. I've attach original bios with pic of MB

    Best Regards

Here is a different bios to test with ....if works i will fix me region meaning put a clean un used one. If still does the same thing see what voltage is falling out .... most likely core voltage .. alwon 3/5 should be present with just adapter plug in and not pressing power button..test point big square coils they should be the only one's with power with just adapter in. nexted CLK circuit 32.768 at crystal ? you could always check resistance in both circuit with no power to board and set meter to diode mode red probe on ground and black on +line .. also could be crack heat pipe ...have you tried one stick of memory in each slot one at a time? if one socket is bad just double up on good one. hope this helps

      Thk's for your respond Techman..
Flashing bios with your file still does same, alwon 3/5 present for 20 seconds and missing alias no 3/5 after that ( but I still can power on even 3/5v missing on that coils ), here is I attach measurement on each coil

        Hi
Ok what i need to know with just adapter in don't press power button. is the 3/5 stay there? it don't turn off ? also clk signal there 32.768 ? did you try a different power adapter maybe your's can't handle load? you could also check this by putting a dc 24V bus bulb as the load see if it stay's on.
if yes i say no clk single ?. Maybe also I say the SN608098 is dead(RT8206A/B=ISL6237=PM6686=SN0608098)

          Hi...Thanks for you replay Techman,

Ok what i need to know with just adapter in don't press power button. is the 3/5 stay there? it don't turn off ?
          Stay there for 20nd's

also clk signal there 32.768 ?
Dunno how to test it but I do have Frequency Counter

did you try a different power adapter maybe your's can't handle load? you could also check this by putting a dc 24V bus bulb as the load see if it stay's on.
Use a Workbench PSU 5A ( with charger still does same )

if yes i say no clk single ?. Maybe also I say the SN608098 is dead(RT8206A/B=ISL6237=PM6686=SN0608098)
