    Dell Dimensioni 9200 Motherboard

    Hi all,

I'm new to motherboard repairs but I have a Dell Dimension 9200 in that has the dreaded flashing amber power button. The User has replaced the PSU with a 500W ATX unit with no change.

I opened it up to find this:

Most of the 6.3v 2200uF caps seem to be bulging to some extent.

This is the details on the side of the caps:

My question is - what caps should I replace them with? Will any 6.3v 2200uF electrolytic do? What about these - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6-3V-2200u...item19c8c71206 or http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rubycon-El...item3a6a679e47

    Thanks, any help appreciated!

    Gareth

Don't buy from ebay if you don't want to end up with fake caps!

sorry, I was just using them as examples. I will most likely be buying from RS/Farnell/Maplin

Nichicon HN would be a good replacement cap choice.
