not sure how to test the invertor transformers though

just testing them with meter in ohms they both had similar readings

not sure how to test the PFC in the power supply either

Just checked a couple on a slave, read 8 on 20k, I think your ok on that.

In post #12, careful high voltage, if it's around 400 v, powered on then your ffc is working correctly, about 160 when tv not powered on, measured in vdc mode, one probe on each leg of cap.

is there a safe easy way to test it, I've done it before but the cap was flat with the legs exposed for easy access.

Thinking you should have the same boosted voltage when powered on, should find it on one of the transformer legs if they are exposed to get at from the top.

If you can get at the transformer leg and it's on the primary/hot side, you can use the negative leg of the bridge rectifier for ground becuz you are in the hot side.

There's prolly an easier way but I forgot it, memory is long gone.

Not sure but if you have 24 volts on the connector pin power sig 24v, when powered on, then I think your pfc is working, I could be wrong.

did you ever work out why the 12 v is missing

No sorry im still learning myself we need someone who understands schematics and look at the 12v section and see when it should be active etc

PFC DC 380v you can check on these jumpers what voltage they have in standby mode and in operating mode.

Maybe try if you didn't already, leave everything else hooked up as would be normally, unhook the inverter from powerboard, turn tv on and recheck voltages on all connector pins on the powerboard like you did before, check them all.

Are there any fuses in the power supply, are they good?

Thanks Lotas, I thought there must have been an easier way.

Do you have +24v ? if you do, then to get the 12VLCD you need the POWER LCD pin to be enabled by the main board.

Are you getting 24 volts to the inverter?
There is an LED on the inverter board, when you first turn on the tv does the LED light and go out?
