A Short story: Before recaping, I can't even instal windows (98se, me) with this board. I opened the case, found 7 Gloria 2700uF caps had bulged (all of them!) and leaking. 1 caps near CPU even had been shorted. Good thing that it didn't destroyed the VRM. Well actually i didn't know this board was still good until i've recaped it.
Actually i found no problems with DS caps, but i replace them anyway. I leave 3 DS caps arround PCI slots, test with a LAN card and a tv card, no probs.
This board is worth recaping because it has onboard vga (S3) and agp slot, support intel 1.13GHz proc.
I checked the PSu and sure it has JEE and Rulycon caps bulged. The owner refused to buy a new good PSU (i recomend him a cheap silverstone PSU). Alright i also recaped the PSu with some MBZ and WG caps. Overkill i must said but that's only what i have.
Everything runs fine, the bench/test, the onboard features and the os/sw installation. I test it with 1 GHz proc it's no prob.
Sorry no pics for the PSu (Scorpions 300W ATX) and Gloria caps.
Ps. This is the #5 MV19 boards i've recapped . In earlier day when finding a good 10mm caps was so damn difficult, i replaced the 3300uF ones with 1500uF MBZ. It worked for P3 600MHZ but not for P3 1GHz. I also used some odd ways (soldering the additional caps from below the mobo, but the case need to be moded. Way too hassle for my friends.)
