    Samsung un65eh600f power problem

I checked this unit out which is actually my own tv and the only voltages on cnm803 is 5vdc on 13 and 3.4 on 14.The power supply is new or as far as i know its new.Cant get lamps to fire up but i did do a tear down and all lamps tested ok.All around 58-59vdc on my lamp tester. The power supply did come with an apparent crack around the screw hole but no trace damage.

Does the backlight come on with the cable from the main board disconnected?

I think you should plug an active HDMI or VGA to the rear port and power up again, test the voltages now with the active input selected by pressing the input button one time wait ten seconds, press it again........just from my experience.........

Ok will give that a try.Further info....The light blinks once every 8-10 sec.I did some checks and found Diode 801 shorted which later was icm801 as regulator was shorted.I switched them to no avail but further checks tomorrow.

BTW, the TV is Samsung un65eh6000F, correct? not 600.

              1) There is nothing wrong with that SMPS ICM801 because it drives the power transformer TM801S and you are getting the Swiched 5V (PIN 13 B5VDC) which mans the PS-ON is present.

              2) What is the exact designator of Diode 801? The designator for the Diode is Dx####. Location?

              3) What Voltage do you have on BLU_ON/OFF?

4)What Voltages do you have on all the pins (except GND) of that CNM803? You MUST out down the pin name and follow by the Voltage reading for each pin so we can easily see from the reports as to what it has on each pin.

              4) The LED drive Voltage is rated at 242V @185mA, So with the TV off, all cables back in place, set meter so it can read higher than 300V range. Leave Black probe on the chassis, red probe on D1+ then turn the TV on while watching the meter to see how high the Voltage jumps up to then wait 10 seconds to see how low it goes down to, repeat the same thing on rest of the pin of the LED connector.
