This guy has a Soyo DYLT032D....

.....he claims to know that it's the main board
which is bad, because he said that he swapped it for
another main board from another unit, and
    the screen worked.

Then he said he didn't want to fix it,
because the main board was like $60. So
apparently, he has more than one unit lying
around. He claimed to be some sort of IT
guy, so working with electronics is nothing
new to him. Actually, I just did an Ebay search,
and there was only a power supply and inverter.
It may be hard to get a main board for this particular
model, which may be why he's selling it.

I'm sure everyone here has heard the old, "It's an
easy Fix" story. If it's so goddamned easy and
cheap to fix, why don't YOU do it and sell it as
working for a whole lot more????

Dunno if this guy is bullshitting me....but maybe
    I'll offer him $5......

Some of the reviews on this TV were actually not very good,
    in terms of image quality.

Would be very cautious when people tell you what they know the fault is! 99% of the time they are completely and utterly wrong.

There is one on Ebay, but they're asking way too much!

Yeah, once again, if they REALLY knew what the problem is,
why the Hell don't they fix it themselves?

It's real bullshit, some of things people will say to
        sell a broken TV.

Still, if I get it for $5, I'll still should be able to make $
        off the parts.

On the other hand, I've been on such a successful
repair roll, that I don't want to break my good record!!!

        LOL!!!

I'll probably pass on this one, unless he wants to
give it to me for free.....

Remember it's only 32" and probably 720p. Price according to this.

Someone listed on craigslist their 42" lcd tv was broken. I asked if the screen was cracked and he said no. But when i asked what it was doing he sent me a picture. I said "hey that screen sure looks broke to me" He then replies that it just deteriorated to the picture in a 3 month span.

"it just deteriorated to the picture in a 3 month span" Mr Bill, that is really funny, I am sure one of his kid was playing WEII.

Problem is, sometimes the screen will get cracked
AFTER the inverters stop working (kids throw a ball
at the screen, etc.), so even the seller won't know about
                the damage.

This happened to me when I got the Komodo for
$15, and only discovered the cracked screen after replacing
                the inverter fuse.

But I recently sold the power supply on Ebay for $69,
and I'm still selling the main board, repaired inverters, control
                board, and the base stand.

                So......ALL GOOD!
