    gateway fdp 1730 no power

    i have gateway fdp 1730 lcd

    no power put after several try plunged in power cabal monitor goes on and word good

    after shut down monitor and try powered again no power until i tried plunged and unplugged power cable 20 or more plunged and unplug til monitor power on

    i open monitor no caps bad power on big caps 310 volt

    i remove cable that go to inverter board

    and button cable no result

    no heat ics

    what can i do

        Probably the two small "startup" caps on the power supply board (next to the big 450V, 100 uF cap).

        Though I also see a coil/inductor on the logic board (the one with the Genesis chip), so you might want to recap that board too, just in case.
