I am struggling to find a compatible mosfet to the one i have ...

mine is AON6962

Is AON6992 compatible?

but u read that 6962 is n-channel so it is compatible

find if u have q1 or q2 6992, because q2 is more than 2times stronger

Q1 or q2 ? I didn't really get that. Will appreciate if you can explain a bit what that refer to.

look at schematic. i think q1 or q2 is marking of ic

for what circuit u want it?

100A pulsed is enough for everything except hi power CPU or GPU

But unfortunately there is no schematics. It is for dell G5.
It is for the GPU circuit. However, there are two mosfets feeding the same line. So yes I suppose it is over 100A feeding line but it is divided between the two mosfets.

By the way the GPU is nvidia GTX 1050 4GB....

thats bad. that kind of gpu requires good mosfet. what is complete marking on that 6992 u have?

check if it is a lowside or high side mosfet. lowside mosfet can be weaker so u can use that

the AON6992 mosfet is also feeding the 1050 GTX GPUs but in earlier versions of dell laptops. specifically in dell inspiron 7567 ... that is why I was thinking if it might match. but if there was a little difference in the amount of ampers between 6962 and 6992 then would it make a problem to use 6962&6992 to feed the same line without conflict between them....


of course i prefer 6962 but i cant find it online to buy .. only they are available in lots not singles...

There is no lowside since it`s double transistor.It`s high and low side in one chip.

Hello Everyone!
My laptop Dell G3 is also having same problem and my computer mechanic said that they need AON6962, AON6992 and ISL95522 IC to repair it. But unfortunately these are not available in Pakistan.

I want to know if I source it from abroad, will my problem be solved?

Post the full details of your logic board so we can review the schematics.

Are you able to source parts from China (Aliexpress) ?

With the crazy state of hot heads in the world, know that India banned sourcing from China. Not sure if you have a similar ban.

It is possible to sub these parts but need to review the schematic for your unit to be safe.
