Crown LED 32185 no power no standby

Hi, folks i have a problem with this TV it has no power or standby led on
    PSU - 17IPS11-R4
    MB - 17MB82-2

    I've done some measurements:
    D107 - OK - 0.230R - 28V
    D120 - OK - 0.560R - 28V
    D136 - OK - 0.560R - 28V
    D124 - OK - 0.560R - 28V
    D126 - OK - 0.560R - 28V
The 4 D120-D126 are connected parallel
    The main cap C101 - 68uF/400v shows 330V DC
    Q105 - FDPF7N60NZ - OK
    D130 - MBR10150FCT - OK
    C113 - 100uF/100V - 28V (Someone before me had replaced it)

I've measured the voltage from CN100 and attached it but where the +5VSTBY must be there are 0.21V

I appreciate your help, best regards

Your Psu is ok, these literally only have a 12v and 24v output (24v goes straight to Led driver) they use Dc-Dc converters on the motherboards for the 5vstby and other rails on these.

Your motherboard likely has corrupt firmware which is not turning on the standby Led, have you checked to see if the Ir sensor has its 3.3v and 5v on it ? Thats one way to check if the motherboard is at fault. If it does your motherboard is bad.

Re: Crown LED 32185 no power no standby

Thanks for the reply, now i checked CN18 on the MB and it has 5V on the pins, then checked the LED and it has 3.3-3.5V.
So i think it gets his voltage, now what can i do or the MB is dead ?
Checked the LED and IR pcb - they both get 5V and the LED is ok it's not burned. But it can't just turn on or show standby maybe it's the MB what can i do to fix it or just have to replace it ?
        Thank you again, best regards

Ok, the MB is dead officially...
I freezed the EEPROMs and no power/stnby...
          Let it RIP
I think i'm gonna try with new MB.

What panel does it use ? VES315WNDS = VESTEL 31.5" Led Module With Samsung Display. Will be something like that.

Yeah thats a Samsung Lsc320ap01 Lcd screen. Just look up the model of your Tv into ebay and see if any boards come up matching that screen.

You need the board to work with the exact same screen and Psu if not it wont work.

No thats not a match, thats for a Ves315WUDA = Auo Lcd glass. Your Tv does not have that screen. You need a board that uses VES315-WNDS nothing else ! If not it wont work.

Ok, thanks mate for the help i've found similar board from:
                              Panel:VES315WNDS-01
                              MB: 17MB95M
PSU: 17IPS11 (300413-R4) which is like mine but has +cap C112 but i can add it to my PSU

One think i'm concerned about the backlight one friend told me to test it with the multimeter in diode mode on the 5th pin of the CN14 but the backlight didn't start... Do you have any idea or i have to tear down the panel i think if the backlight is off i can trow this damn TV in the junkyard

I've attached the similar mb and psu and the test for the backlight
Thanks again, i really appreciate your help sir

This is my first attempt at troubleshooting a board like this, I know I could just buy a new board but I'm curious to figure out how this works. I've been testing different components in the evenings this week and I think the problem is with the IC failing to start up for some reason. When the board is plugged in there is no standby voltage.

Then today it randomly sprung to life like a zombie but shortly died thereafter. I have no idea why it would have done that and its the first time I've seen it running. I discharged capacitors on the board last night, then it was sitting today....

Vizio D50u-D1 Dead Set No Standby
                                by fharris1977
Hi. I got a Vizio with no power or standby, and won't turn on with remote or button. I checked the voltages on the connector and all read 0.00V or nearly 0(0.050 ON/OFF pin). None of the pins are labeled STB for standby although I do see some 5V pins. Other than the obvious standby led, which isn't coming on, is there a way to check for standby voltage on this PS. I'm trying to see if my problem is the PS or mainboard. Some Vizios I have fixed with no standby led me to think it was the PS but it turned out being the mainboard. Any experience with this set would be greatly appreciated.

                                Hi all.

I started a thread while back regarding TV power supply standby circuitry as it is something I am not quite on top of.
SMPS theory and function is becoming more familiar, however the standby part is still a bit of a mystery.

Anyway, a friend has this TV with the above mentioned power supply board which has no standby voltage, nor any other voltages leaving the board.
The mains AC comes in fine, gets filtered and rectified with power is on the main filter cap as well as the transformer and drain pins of the ICE3B0665J, but that's it.
                                ...

Hello forum. I've recently been given a Yamaha TSX 120 DAB radio and ipod dock. Its working well however when put on standby its using 6.3 watts. The manual states less than 1 watt on standby. I measured this with a plug in monitor which seems accurate with other items. In use it uses around 7.5 watts. Firstly has anyone who owns a similar radio also got a plug in monitor to check if this is normal with this unit? In the first half a second the monitor shows 0.3 watts which I suspect is what it should use but something is switching it to be almost fully powered. I've searched the manual for eco...

                                Hello,

I am trying to re-purpose this power supply that I saved years ago from a tv with a cracked screen for a monitor but that is not really that relevent at the moment. I do not recall which tv but a google search looks like it is from Wharfedale LTF37K1.

You may notice I made some alterations moving some components to the top and some wires which are from a 5v regulator I fitted to the 12v output as the monitor requires 5v. The standby was already at fault from the beginning, it has nothing to do with the alterations...

Years ago it had some bulging caps...
