I'm getting an intermittent issue with this amp.
Sometimes when I start my car, my subwoofer does a full blast non stop constant BBBBRRRRRRRR. I've isolated the amp, and know the problem is inside the amp.
I've opened it up and found a cap that looks like it has been leaking electrolyte fluid. It appears to have some residue on and around it, and an evaporated puddle next to it. in the pictures, its in the top left.
I did some research, and filter caps are supposed to emit a 60Hz tone or buzz or hum when going bad.
I googled a 60Hz test tone, and this is pretty much what I'm getting.
Am I on the right track? would this cap be a filter cap? I ordered this one off amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
it matches the specs written on the side of the cap I'm replacing.
thanks for the help!
