Re: Mitsubishi HS-E82 VCR Bad Picture
one head scans the tape and produces one field of the picture from the top of the screen to the bottom, worn heads would not produce the picture in your video.

Re: Mitsubishi HS-E82 VCR Bad Picture
About the only thing that can cause this picture is a tape path problem.

Re: Vizio E550i-A0 no power, no standby light
Thanks lotas, I just found it as well after searching for the ic.
x_orange90_x , this schematic is for the standby circuit and is very close except for the component id's IE C803 = CS804; D802 = DS802
Also this schematic does not have a pfc circuit like your board does, yours will have an additional supply (DS814) off the standby circuit to feed the pfc circuit vcc.Last edited by R_J; 11-21-2023, 11:58 AM.

Re: Mitsubishi HS-E82 VCR Bad Picture
If the guides are loading into there V stops, then I suspect the guide posts are loose, It's been years since I worked on these models but I remember some mechanisms where the lower part of the guide would become loose from the slide plate, on others the lock screw would come loose and the guide would turn, Check if the guides are tight or not.
You are getting linier audio and the speed is ok so the tape is tracking the ace head properly so the tape exit guide is likely ok. I suspect the tape input guide is out of adjustment...Last edited by R_J; 11-21-2023, 11:38 AM.

Re: Mitsubishi HS-E82 VCR Bad Picture
Make sure the tape guides are loading fully to there stops, if they are I suspect the guide posts have become loose or are out of adjustment.
when you play a tape do you get linier audio?
A bad or plugged head would give a poor picture over the whole screenLast edited by R_J; 11-21-2023, 11:17 AM.

Re: Vizio E550i-A0 no power, no standby light
I'm using the board pictures from shopjimmy and my knowledge of these circuits, I'll see if I can find a schematic that uses this ic.

Re: Vizio E550i-A0 no power, no standby light
Looks like a S3320, same as SEM3320, I don't see a datasheet but I suspect the ic is ok,
CS804 is the vcc capacitor, the ic will provide a small current to charge the cap, then DS802 supplies the run voltage, so check that diode, and check RS815 [000] 0Ω resistor. The normal run voltage across CS804 is likely around 15~20vdc
You may also want to check that RS807, RS806 and RS805 (243, 24KΩ) are good, sometimes one of them can go open, also RS802, RS803, RS804 (475, 4.7megΩ)
And check...Last edited by R_J; 11-20-2023, 08:30 PM.

Re: Vizio E550i-A0 no power, no standby light
What is the number on the sot23-8 ICS801 ic. I suspect it is trying to start but the caps are bad and not charging

Re: Mechanic VC04 burned Component identify.
Maybe something like a max1551

Re: Mechanic VC04 burned Component identify.
My guess is the missing 20t23-5 is something like a RY2201 or XB5353A
Can you trace the pins of the sot23-5 to see where they connect?Last edited by R_J; 11-20-2023, 05:30 PM.

Looks like it is SY8288rac

Re: Vizio E550i-A0 no power, no standby light
That ground screw should be ok for checking voltages on the cold side of the power supply but for voltages on the primary side you can not use that ground, you must use what is referred to as hot ground IE BD801S (-) or CP814s (-)

Re: Vizio E550i-A0 no power, no standby light
The jumper is the same point as pins 1,2 of cn102. You don't have the standby voltage so the standby circuit is not working. Check if RS816 resistor is good and not open, if it is ok (0.6Ω) If it is ok, check the voltage across CS804 and CS805, or using J874/J875 as (hot) ground, check the voltage on DS802 and DS814 cathode, If there is voltage but under 10vdc I would replace CS804 and CS805 and CM806 as well...Last edited by R_J; 11-20-2023, 12:42 PM.

Check FP802S fuse, if it is good, Check if you have A5V on J807 jumper or pin 1,2 of cn102

Re: Vizio E550i-A0 no power, no standby light
Which power supply is in it? post pictures so we can see what we are dealing with.
The first voltage you need is the standby voltage, if it is missing nothing works.

Re: Hitachi 57F710E Power Issue
I didn't look that close at the dimensions, so the DF0x series is smaller, The DBL105G, DBL106G or DBL107G would be closer.
Just search for 1 amp 600v or 800v bridge rectifier in a dip4 case, I see S1WBS60 and S1WBS80 listed on amazon and ebay if that's where you are ordering from.

Little fuse 392 series or mst micro fuse, radial box some call them a dip mounted fuse. or TE5 fuse...Last edited by R_J; 11-19-2023, 09:08 PM.

Re: I need an answer to how to amplify my WiFi signal because it is so weak outside
Is the router connected to the modem with a network cable?
I have 2 routers off one modem, one just a standard router and the second one is for the wi-fi
just make sure the second one has a different ip address then the first and turn off dhcp on the second router. no one else can access your wireless router if they don't know the passwordLast edited by R_J; 11-19-2023, 07:54 PM.

Re: Hitachi 57F710E Power Issue
Any 1 amp, 600v, 800v or 1kv bridge rectifier that will fit will work, there are likely hundreds that would work.
diodes inc. DF06m or DF08m or DF10M are 1 amp versions
Try searching for S1WB S80
Where do you plan on ordering from? digikey?Last edited by R_J; 11-19-2023, 04:40 PM.
