    Dell Poweredge 1650

Hey guys, me and 370forlife went to this surplus sale at wmu today, and I picked up a dell poweredge 1650 for 20 dollars. It has two 72 gig SCSI 10,000 rpm drives in RAID and two 1.13 tualatins with 2.5 gigs registered ECC ram. The problem is, it was wiped before I got it. So, I need to reinstall server 2003 on it. What drivers do i need to put on the floppy when I install server 2003 for the RAID and SCSI? Thanks for your help, as this is my first post.
    Edit: Here's the drivers page:

    The service tag is CY5JG11

You'll have to find out which version of the PERC (or other card) you have. All the drivers are on the web pages and you can put them on a floppy. It should say something about the PERC version when you boot up.

However, server 2003 does support some older PERC cards naively. Have you tried just installing it? If it works then you can update it after the install with the newer Dell drivers.

I haven't used a 1650, but on the 1850s we have you just use the Dell installer CD before the 2003 CD and it puts in all the drivers automatically. I don't think you can download it, but maybe Dell will send you one if you give them a call.

for s2k3, you shouldn't need anything, it should have embedded drivers for all mass storage devices in that.

Thanks, I'll try that as soon as 370 gets home. (It's at his house and he just went to a car show).

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
          by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Dell Inspiron 5100 (2003) with RAM issues (voltage, PSU suspect ??)
          by 13mh13
          Here's my device:
          LAPTOP: Dell Inspiron 5100 (2003) 2.4Ghz p4, dual-boot: Windows XP pro, sp1 + LinuxMint ( LM 17.1 MATE ), with 128GB ssd, 512mb ddr sodimm.

The 5100 runs fine, even after 19 years of daily, gentle use, "always on", and on adapter power only.
HOWEVER, over the past 5-6 years there has been a restart-up issue (after power down or power loss --- I leave all my PCs/laps in daily use in ALWAYS-ON condition, even going months w/o re-boots, but the inevitable always happens) .
Seconds to few mins after pressing the power button to restart...

Troubleshooting of redundant F750E-S0 Dell PowerEdge Server
          by omega
          Hello all,
as a beginner electronics hobbyist, after a few years I would like to place another post on this Forum section, given that I did not succeed in finding any useful advice among the other posts.

Over the last years, I have been using a PowerEdge Dell Server with two redundant PSUs, namely the 750W F750E-S0 ones (aka 06W2PW). Unfortunately, last summer one of them failed (perhaps owing to an overheating), and the server had for working to take into account the other one only. Of course I opened and tried to troubleshoot the failed PSU, but each cap I tested seemed to...
