    Yay, new fans!

Ordered up some new fans for my computer, 3x 92mm Nidec va350dc's. 92mmx38mm, 110cfm, 5100rpm, 51db. I chose these because even though you can get a delta 160cfm for 3 or 4 dollars, they are whiners like these nidecs, but so much louder. These new fans are replacing the front, rear, and cpu fans.

Also a chance to check on and clean out the Tpower and its 100% ucc caps, thanks biostar!

In the first pic you can see the 240cfm nidec ta600dc I have on my side panel

I set up the new fans so that the front and rear fan would blow in, doing two things:

    1. pressurizing the case (this became apparent upon first start up with new fans, dust blew out of all the cracks and crevices), also allowing the ta600dc to be able to utilize all 240cfm's by actually having some air to work with and not pulling a huge vacuum.

    2. the rear fan would blow cool air for the cpu and psu to pull through.

Here you can see the new fans in all their glory. They are brand new, never used before fans. Made in japan, nice. Not as nice as the ta600dc on the side, thats American made .

Hmmm, no wonder that old front fan was not pushing as much air as I remember it doing. Only a foot thick layer of dust on it. Twas only $2 on newegg, they are what are in the back and front, from masscool, oem to fannertech.

Well, now the front and rear is in place, time to do the cpu which is going to be a challenge because they use this plastic clip that spreads apart after you push it through the hole. I am also going to mount the fan pulling through the cooler, which means I will need something to cover the gaps between it and the 'sink. I can tell you that the fan is a Y.S. tech 92mm capable of about 48cfm, and is a PWM fan.

Now I just need to take a picture of the finished project and maybe one of the finished noise

Ohh ya, and no bla bla bla about doing it on the carpet, as that was only for taking pictures, it was done on my usual solder station in the basement.

Now I got to decide where to put the other one

        2 for $10 was a deal I couldn't pass up.

Heres the rest of the pics

When I first fired it up I found the front fan was only pulling about as much air through as the original fan did. I thought it was defective at first, but it was being choked trying to pull the air through the little holes.

Did a little more cable management

Did u run them quiet at low voltage? These particular fans are LOUD at rated voltage.

          Cheers, Wizard

            He he he he, no.

Currently I just un-hook the molex connector for them if I want them to be quiet.

RTX3090 working fine but fans not spinning
              by emil_t
Hello guys. I have a problem with a PNY XLR8 GAMING RTX3090 graphics card. The problem is that it displays and works fine, but the fans don't spin at all. The problem occurred when someone else removed the fans in order to clean it and broke one of the fan connectors. He replaced it himself and after that, it wasn't working anymore. I guess he damaged something else in the process. What i have done so far: I found 2 capacitors next to the connector that were in a bad shape, he must have touched them with his tools - they weren't shorted, but i replaced them with similar ones from a similar card....

              Good Afternoon, Good People.

I know this will be an elementary little project for most if not all of you, but I thought I would write a post and get put on track, rather than bumbling my way through it with all kinds of trials and errors.

I REALLY would appreciate y'alls help.

This is the problem - My wife and I purchased a big ol Victorian/Colonial House in NYC two years ago. The kitchen is surrounded on 3 sides by exterior walls, there is also a 1/4 of the kitchen floor (ceramic tiles) that has a crawl space underneath, and the kitchen gets FREEZING cold...

my Xiaomi Notebook Pro X laptop fans work like crazy for no reason
              by sda sad
Hope this is the right place, someone can help me.
My laptop started having a really strange problem....
When I turn it on the fans start working at a crazy rate and with random breaks...
They can work for say 10 seconds and stop for 2 seconds and then turn on again for 5 etc...
And it's from 0 to 100%. I tried to install AIDA and did the processor chip test and the graphics did not exceed 70 degrees and the fans were not even close to working at the power they work randomly.

Dell Precision 5530 15" died to blown chip. Replaced chip and now only get momentary fans, lights, no screen or boot
              by joesmoe91
              Hello,

My Dell Precision 5530 turned off suddenly when I was running Matlab and wouldn't turn on, show any lights, fans, and/or any signs of activity at all. I opened the case, removed the battery and looked at the board with a thermal camera while the AC adapter was connected. I saw that PU1252 was >120C so figured the chip had died on me Got the part number off the attached schematic (see Mouser link below) and replaced the chip. After replacing the chip the board (connected to AC adapter) was able to briefly power on, spin the fans a little bit, and turn on the front led lights....

Spectre X360 DAX38CMBAG0 - overheating fans not spinning
              by magneh
              Hello all

Got this Spectre with an overheating problem.
I verified that the fans start briefly during power up, but never turn on again,
even when stress testing the machine and CPU at 100°C fans dont spin

              Ive measured and I have 5V, 3.3v and 3rd pin 0.
When fans spin during start up, the signal at 0v is at 1.6v.

Probably its Fan2Sig pin and 3.3V is PWM, not sure

Question is , how to fix?
I think these signals come from ITE controller am I right?
              Should I bother replacing it?

              Thanks...
