Well...last weekend, Samsung put an $80 mail-in rebate on their 930B 19" LCD monitor.
so I decided to jump into the LCD pond.
imagine jumping into a real pond when the water is just above freezing and the only thing you have is your birthday suit.
Yep...I'm jumping out of this pond and waiting for something warmer (read: better)
As most of you know, the resolution is only 1280x1024. It has been fine for general gaming and surfing the net, but when doing video editing and picture manipulation, it falls flat on its face.
It can't begin to hold a candle to either of my ADI 19" CRTs running at the same res. Then when I bump up the CRT to 1600x1200, well...my path is clear.
This LCD is woefully inadequate for my needs. I will be returning it and getting another 19" CRT. (its a helluva lot cheaper too!
)
One last little tidbit of info...when I first turned it on, there were no dead/stuck pixels. However, the next day I noticed a stuck pixel. Very VERY annoying.
Ahhhhhh....good ol' CRTs....
